Hello battlers,
https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@splinterlands/share-your-battle-weekly-challenge-dragons-r8sq3g
Splinterlands is always a source of inspiration for me to keep the pressure out and have some quality time utilized to relax out.
I have been a regular since the day I started playing Splinterlands and I continue to do so no matter what level or league I am into.
I use to be a regular in Champion Leagues, but, since the introduction of Untamed and Chaos Legion editions, the deck I use has become outdated and it's time to upgrade the same I feel.
Having said that, here I am with a battle for this week's weekly challenge and Dragons is not my strong deck although I use many of the other splinter monsters by using a higher level Dragon summoner and in this battle as well, I am using the highest level summoner among all I have have, i.e Kretch Tallevor and it is summoning an Earth splinter deck to complete the battle.
Summoner - Kretch Tallevor:
As I mentioned, this is the highest level summoner I have among all splinters and all editions and I love using this to call Earth Splinter which gives better results to me when used with Dragon Splinter.
Kretch Tallevor is the Rewards edition summoner introduced possibly as an alternative to Daria Dragonscale and it doesn't provide any particular abilities unlike other summoners, but it's one of the cheapest in terms of cost and hence, easily affordable besides it was dropped in daily and season end rewards during the print time of this summoner until the print out of order.
Lineup:

The battle had just 20 Mana cap and there were 2 rulesets viz. Unprotected(no armors) and Taking Sides (no neutral monsters) and since Dragons were enabled, I thought of using my highest level summoner of Kretch Tallevor and used it to summon a lineup as mentioned below.
1. Flesh Golem:
This being a healing tank, it's best served to use it at the front right from beginning and this gives me a win most of the time unless it runs into a huge magic attack lineup.
2. Goblin Thief:
Most of the low mana cap battles will have strong monster at the front with lesser health monsters at the back end of the lineup, so, keeping that in mind, I used this to check the back end monsters and it did it's job well to take out couple of monsters which threatened to take out the tank healer Wood Nymph from my lineup.
3. Screeching Vulture:
This is an ideal one even in low mana battles because of it's scavenger ability to get additional health and also it keeps attacking lowest health monsters to take out monsters like Brownie or Creeping Ooze to reduce the extra advantage those tiny monsters gives.
4. Wood Nymph:
Last monster in my lineup was this tank healer and I used it to also utilize it's 1 magic attack along with healing Flesh Golem.
Battle:
As always, here I am sharing few screenshots from the battle I fought to give a glimpse of the way the battle was fought and you can always check the full battle using the battle link shared above.
Now, it's time to answer few questions as part of this challenge:
Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
Yes, using a healing tank in the front and Goblin Thief to check the back end attack and Screeching Vulture to remove low health monsters along with tank healer Wood Nymph to complete the lineup was a good one as for as strategy is concerned and the big win says it all :).
I don't think I could have accommodated any other better monsters in the given Mana cap and hence, I feel it was a good lineup.
Do you like DRAGONS? Why or why not?
As I mentioned, Dragons are not my strength, but the Dragon summoner is and hence, I keep using Dragons inspite of not having stronger monsters, instead, I use Earth as a substitute here to utilize some of the great Earth splinter monsters along with Dragons summoner.
That was one of those low Mana cap battles yet, went on with more than 2 rounds to give a kind of entertainment, isn't it?
I would like to thank all the supports and wish you have better monsters than me to battle it out with Dragons!!!!
