Hello battlers,
https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@splinterlands/share-your-battle-weekly-challenge-chaosknight
Life is too unpredictable, 2 of the greatest legends of Cricket Sports have gone too soon in Rod Marsh and Shane Warne and that shows, nothing can be predicted and we don't know what will happen in the next moment!!
I am very happy to be back to blogging after almost a year although I have been active as a gamer with Splinterlands battles.
I just want to start blogging again with a blog about the weekly challenge by Splinterlands with this blog about the Chaos Legion monster of Chaos Knight.
As we know, it's a melee attack monster with good armors and also with shield ability, so, all in all, it's a good one to have to use it in First position and for new players who are not having Silvershield Paladin, it will be a good replacement for that monster.
Summoner:
Tyrus Paladium:
For this battle, since the weak magic ruleset was on, and since Chaos Knight is the monster of the week, I though of using my ever reliable Life splinter summoner of Tyrus Paladium and I can say, when there is no magic, it's very hard to beat even average Life splinter monsters lineup.
Theme Monster:
Chaos Knight:
Chaos Knight is from the Chaos Legion edition and being a 6 Mana cost monster, it will be a good one to be used in First position because of the armors it has and it can even take lesser melee and ranged attack for having shield ability and it gets 2 more abilities of giant killer and inspire as we level it up and those abilities will make it even more stronger.
Lineup:

As the Mana cost was just 13, it was a task to identify the good monsters with lesser Mana cost and the weekly contest made me to select Chaos Knight as First position monster with other monsters in the lineup as below:
1. Chaos Knight:
Selected to utilize the ruleset specific strengths of it as weak magic ruleset was there and this monster is with armors and shield ability and gives a good 3 melee attack for the level 4 monster I have.
2. Armorsmith:
Since weak magic ruleset, I thought of using this to repair the armors of Chaos Knight and keep it active in the battle.
3. Silvershield Archers:
I was left with 2 Mana cap to cover after selecting Chaos Knight and Armorsmith and I though of using this to have that ability of sniping any magic and ranged attack monsters be there in Second line.
4. Furious Chicken:
Lastly, I used this 0 cost monster to protect Silvershield Archers and other monsters for any possible sneak attack.
Battle:
The opponent used Life splinter as well, but his summoner was the new summoner from Life splinter i.e. General Sloan and his monsters were Furious Chicken, Gargoya Scrapper, Creeping Ooze, Halfling Alchemist, Lensmaster and Peacebringer in that order.
It was a good lineup, but the weak magic ruleset with armorsmith in the lineup, there was always a difficult task to get rid of Chaos Knight as I provide the screenshots of the battle below:
Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
Yes, the usage of Chaos Knight was the move that paid off in this win for me since it kept getting back it's armors due to Armorsmith's repair ability and since opponent didn't have any magic monsters, all the monsters have to keep trying the armors and failed to get rid of Chaos Knight and that shows the strategy was good.
If I have to try it in a different way, probably, I could have used Halfling Alchemist instead of Silvershield Archers to attack the First position monster and reduce it's attack instead of sniping Second line monsters.
Do you like the CHAOS KNIGHT? Why or why not?
Frankly speaking, I never used it before, but this was a good opportunity for me to make use of it and win a battle.
I will definitely continue to use it as it has an advantage over Silvershield Paladin in terms of attack and rest all remains same as the monster I mentioned.
That was a nice battle and it was an opportunity to explore about a monster I never used and happy to be writing a Hive blog once again after such a long gap and I would like to continue to do so in the coming weeks.
