There's two proposals that are set to expire today in Splinterlands. I am VERY surprised that one of them is passing. Ultimately, it probably won't have a big impact, but from a community that pushes decentralization this heavily this seems like a troubling development.

I think there must be some underlying costs to the company to keep the records of all these unclaimed SPS airdrops that they want to clean up. I think of it less as stealing other people's funds and more about keeping the company budget lean and cutting out any unnecessary expenses and technical processes.
They could auto-claim for everyone instead of taking it for the DAO
So more work for the devs to do when people couldn't be bothered to claim their airdrops? Just let it burn and move on!
