Hello Splinterlands Community,
This is Entry #10 of the soulbound reward cards under the Chaos Legion Edition. Last week I have shared my insight about Madcap Magus and the summoner Lobb Lowland which belongs to the earth splinter. In this post, I will be sharing my insight and thought for War Pegasus and the summoner Franz Ruffmane which can summon Marisol Contuma.
For those who are new to my post, I usually post information which is related in the Silver/Gold League Modern Format.
🦄 War Pegasus
War Pegasus is a good addiitonal range monsters from the life splinter which deals a pretty good damage.
Looking at the stats, War Pegasus deeals a 2 to 4 range attack, with a 3 to 5 speed and a high health of 7 to 9.
In terms of ability, War Pegasus flying ability gives this monster an immunity against earthquake damage. The flying ability also gives a chance to avoid attack especially sneak attack as this card is often position in the rear as this monster cannot attack in the frontline unless with the close range ruleset. The combination of high speed and flying ability seems that this card is the equivalent of Regal Peryton in the range unit.
Another ability it have is the shatter ability which is very useful for a range unit especially when dealing a high armor monsters such as Legionnaire Alvar.
Maximizing the level of this monster unlocks the demoralize ability which is against melee monsters. It seems this card is designed to deal with melee monsters with sneak abilities.
War Pegasus is a good addition for the earthquake ruleset as well as close range ruleset as this card may give good contribution on those ruleset.
The only problem I have for this card is that the cost of this card is 7 mana which I think is a little higher.
My personal rating for this card is : 2/5
Combo Cards
In terms of summoner, General Sloan is the best summoner which provides range damage boost in order for this card to deal a massive range attack.

In terms of monsters, as long as the frontline monsters can hold the line then War Pegasus is a good use in the backline dealing high damage. This card also supports the frontline in dealing with armored tanks.
This card is a good advantage to deal with high armor in the frontline as well as dealing range monsters with snipe ability and melee monsters with sneak ability.
Counter Cards
In terms of counter cards, monsters with headwinds ability reduces the attack of War Pegasus and monsters with snare and true strike ability gives the flying and high speed ability of War Pegasus ineffective.

🦁 Franz Ruffmane
Franz Ruffmane is the soulbound reward card summoner for the life splinter.
Franz Ruffmane provides extra armor to allied monsters and can summon 1 gladiator card in the rank battle and tournament. For brawl, it can provide extra 1 gladiator card in the battlefield. This summoner is also a good summoner to use Marisol Contuma which is also a powerful gladiator card with reach ability.
In terms of the summoning level, it is the same with the core summoners. The main difference is the mana cost it needs which is more than 2.
Franz Ruffmain main purpose is to use the gladiator card in the battlefield. If you have Marisol in your deck, Lobb is a very useful summoner.

✨ Closing Remarks
War Pegasus seems to be a good attack card which can be utilize in the battle. In my opinion this card can be use based on the situation and not everytime can be use since this cost 7 mana and cannot attack in the frontline unless close range ruleset applies.
Franz Ruffmane on the other hand is a summmoner that can use gladiator monsters. I usually pick Marisol Contuma, Captain Katie or Ajax Lightfoot on the gladiator list.
