Splinterlands is the kind of game that many people treat as a 100% investment or should they? But me? I'm more on the side of playing for the content that can be created and shared with the community, and for the supposed fun. Without having to sell a kidney for it.
The truth is that it's been a long time since the game's profitability for casual players has gone downhill. Between renting cards, renting SPS, and all these monetary mechanics, those without an ultra-planned strategy end up just barely keeping their balance on a tightrope.
I prefer something more straightforward.
Focusing only on the last days of the season.
I don’t worry about climbing from day one, farming daily GLINT rewards like a robot. My goal has always been simple and objective: to stay in the Gold league or at least Silver. No desperation trying to reach Diamond or spending a fortune to get ultra-rare cards only to see them devalue later.
My approach is strategic, stress-free, and as efficient as possible.
When that decisive moment of the season arrives, I dive into the game and push hard to use up my energy, usually with 3 to 2 days left in the season.
And the secret to maintaining this routine without constantly opening my wallet? A complete Chaos Legion deck. This set may not be the most hyped in the Splinterlands universe, but it's versatile, balanced, and, most importantly, doesn’t require me to sell my soul to compete. It offers a range of options that allow me to adapt my strategy without breaking my head or relying on ridiculously expensive cards.
Does it work? Of course! Chaos cards are the best in my opinion.
The truth is that, unlike many hardcore players who invest heavily, I prefer to be a player who enjoys the game without turning it into a second job. Of course, if there are opportunities to earn here and there, even better, but that’s not my main focus. For me, Splinterlands is still a game before it’s an investment platform. If I wanted to constantly operate numbers and calculate returns, I’d open a brokerage account.
And this casual model works very well for me.
For most of the season, I hold back a bit, playing just enough to stay in shape. Then, when the final stretch arrives, I sprint to secure my position in the Gold league. It's an efficient system that lets me enjoy the best of the game without wasting unnecessary energy.
I used to really enjoy participating and sharing some insights about Guild Brawls, but lately, I don’t have time for that. So I just try not to let my guild down.
But I always remember to increase my amount of $SPS staking, so that in the end, the GLINT rewards are quite satisfying.

At the end of the day, Splinterlands is still a fun game, but the reality is that it has changed a lot for casual players. The reward system is no longer as generous as it used to be, and competing with players who rent tons of SPS or have an insanely strong deck can be frustrating. But instead of stressing over it, I adapted my playstyle to make the most of the experience without sacrificing too much time or money.
So, if you’re the type of player who wants to enjoy Splinterlands without turning it into a complex financial operation, this playstyle might be for you too.
Focus on the last days of the season, choose a versatile and solid deck like Chaos Legion, and play efficiently.
You can have fun (a little), compete well, and still secure some rewards without going crazy over it. Because, in the end, even though the game is centered around Web3, the current Play2Earn landscape isn’t the best.

A real é que já faz um bom tempo que a rentabilidade do jogo para jogadores casuais desceu ladeira abaixo. Entre aluguel de cartas, aluguel de SPS, e todas essas engrenagens monetárias, quem não tem uma estratégia ultra planejada acaba só se equilibrando na corda bamba.
Eu prefiro algo mais direto ao ponto.
Foco nos últimos dias da temporada e só.
Não fico me preocupando com subir desde o primeiro dia, farmando recompensas GLINT diárias feito um robô. A minha meta sempre foi simples e objetiva, me manter na liga de Ouro ou no mínimo Prata. Nada de desespero tentando chegar no Diamante ou gastar mundos e fundos pra pegar cartas ultra raras, e então ver elas sendo desvalorizadas.
Meu esquema é estratégico, sem estresse e com o máximo de eficiência.
Quando chega aquele momento decisivo da temporada, eu mergulho no jogo e dou o gás para gastar as energias, normalmente entre 3 a 2 dias restantes para acabar a temporada.
E o segredo para manter essa rotina sem precisar abrir a carteira toda hora? O deck completo de Chaos Legion. Esse set pode não ser o mais hypado do universo de Splinterlands, mas é versátil, equilibrado e, principalmente, não exige que eu venda minha alma para competir. Ele oferece um leque de opções que me permite adaptar minha estratégia sem precisar quebrar a cabeça ou contar com cartas absurdamente caras.
E se isso funciona? Mas é claro, as cartas Chaos são as melhores na minha opinião.
A verdade é que, diferente de muitos jogadores hardcore que investem pesadamente, eu prefiro ser um jogador que aproveita o jogo sem transformá-lo numa segunda profissão. Claro, se houver oportunidades de ganhos aqui e ali, melhor ainda, mas não é esse o meu foco principal. Splinterlands, pra mim, ainda é um jogo antes de ser uma plataforma de investimento. Se eu quisesse ficar operando números e calculando rendimentos o tempo todo, abriria uma corretora.
E esse modelo casual funciona muito bem para mim.
Durante a maior parte da temporada, eu dou aquela segurada básica, jogando só para não enferrujar. Assim, quando chega a reta final, eu dou aquele sprint necessário para garantir minha posição na liga de Ouro. É um esquema eficiente e que me permite aproveitar o melhor do jogo sem precisar gastar energia à toa.
