What is armor?
We can treat it as an additional HP but better. Aside from absorbing damage, it can actually suppress big damage where 1 armor can block 10 DMG. Yes you read it right, When dealing damage more than the armor, the excess damage will be nullified. For example, when you have 1 HP and 1 Armor and a monster with 5 Melee/Range attacks him, the defending monster's armor will absorb all the damage and survive with 1 HP left.
Also take note that when a monster resurrected, it's armor becomes full with 1 HP which makes him survive longer.
Be warned that Armor does not work against MAGIC, with the exception of Weak Magic rule or Void Armor.
Battle highlights utilizing the Armor
Defensive play
Using 2 Repairs and 1 Heal, we were able to sustain most of the damage dealt by our enemy. Magic reflect helped in killing the opponent's healer while harpy killing the enemy backline. Adelade Brightwing with resurrect plays a huge role in this lineup by resurrecting a monster with a full armor. This has become one of my favorite 24 mana lineup.
Against Zaku
Watch Battle
This is a match were we are able to sustain the damage by Zaku's Blast ability. Slowing the enemy plays a big factor on this match since our enemy has slow speed which allows Pelacor Conjurer to dodge some Snipe attacks. Be careful when using this lineup against Zaku, I've tried this a few times and this is the only time it worked. Most of the time Armor repairs won't be able keep up with the Blast damage.
Weak Magic
Weak Magic rule does not lessen Magic Damage by any means, it just modifies how we calculate the damage against monsters. Normally Magic attacks bypasses the armor, but with Weak Magic ruleset, they will damage the armor first before reaching HP. So defensive plays tend to focus on building up armor on this ruleset.
Light splinters have advantage on this ruleset. They have a lot of monsters with armor Repair and summoners that gives armor. That is why this deck is weak against Magic but not this time. I'll show one example line up to utilize this rule set.
Going with 2 repairs and 1 heal, it was really hard to kill this Pelacor Conjurer. Armor sustains the damage from 2 of his monsters while being healed. Armor repairs also helps in making my Harpy alive and rendered Thorn useless.
