Goodbye Practice Mode, Hello Training Mode!
There was an old saying "Practice Makes Perfect" and there is also a contradicting quote stating "Nobody's Perfect". So why practice? Why waste your time practicing something that wont give you the results you want? Splinterlands recognize this flaw that's why it removed Practice Mode and introduced the new feature - Training Mode.
Introducing: Training Mode
I know what you're thinking. It's still Practice only made fancy. You're definitely wrong about that. As a wise man once said "If you train hard, you'll not only be hard, you'll be hard to beat". Training is different from practice. For starters, Training Mode will let you customize the difficulty of your battles.
From easy to hard, you can gradually develop your battle prowess. You can also choose your cards whether Modern, Ghost Cards or Ghost Modern.
Modern | Allows you to use your own Modern format cards. Make sure you have the collection when choosing this format. |
Ghost Cards | Wild Format. All cards are usable even if you don't have the collection for it. |
Ghost Modern | Allows you to use all the Modern format cards. |
Summoner Level Caps allows you to choose the league.
Reaping The Benefits
Training Mode employs automated opponents of varying difficulties and expertise. As for the experience, it would really seem you are practicing with a friend and not a bot. These opponents utilizes various strategies a typical player would use.
To reap the benefits of using this mode, here are some tips you can do:
- For beginners, start at Easy mode of the league you are currently in. This is a good way to learn about the game and its mechanics.
- Gradually make your way to Intermediate once you learned some strategies and card synergies.
- Test the strategy in Hard mode to find its flaws and strengths.
- For long-time players, Ghost Modern is the best way to learn the new cards introduced.
- This is best to familiarize ourselves with the incoming set - Conclave Arcana
Closing
Overall, this feature is good for testing out decks and cards. Strategies can be experimented and analyzed for flaws and strengths. I don't about you but this is the best feature ever built for the game. Have you tried this? What are your thoughts?
