Ok. So the season just ended and viewing the discord, there was a mountain of tears and cries of injustice from those that could no longer get the rewards for the league they reached. Instead they were awarded rewards based on their current league at the end of the season.
Boo Frigging Hoo.
What those people don't understand, is that Splinterlands is Game. Yes, it's play to earn, but it's a play to earn GAME. If all you want is to rent a bunch of high level cards to reap the high rewards, then it's not the devs that aren't playing fair, it's you.
Most of the splinterlands players, enjoy the game. They celebrate their wins and rue their losses. They rejoice at climbing the ladder and getting rewarded for it. They don't bitch at developers, for taking away their easy access to the top rewards.
You complain that all the people with actual money in the game, who have earned their rewards the hard way and either grinded to the top or purchased cards to get there, when you are infact ruining it for everyone else. I would much rather see the good cards and more rewards chests go to those that earned it, than you who rented a frigging card 3 days before the season end. Don't bitch that the rental prices go up. Don't bitch that the renter pulled the card off the market before the season end. Don't bitch that your easy way up has been taken away.
Play the game or go somewhere else.
I for one will continue to play this awesome game and earn the rewards i am due.
I hope i meet you on the battlefield and kick your arse, with handful of common cards because your rentals were pulled.
And to all those real players. Play on my friends, the journey is half the fun.
Hello, @jackstone! This is @traciyork from the @ocd (Original Content Decentralized) curation team. We noticed you shared your first post here on Hive - congratulations and welcome! It would also be awesome if you could do an introduction post, so our community can get to know you better. For an example of what an intro post is like, you can check out this one by my friend & curation team member -
Keeping Up With the Buzz - My Introduction to the Hive Community.
Speaking of community, we have many different ones here on the blockchain, devoted to all kinds of interests. Here's a link so you can check them all out - Hive Communities . I see you already found Splinterlands, and you might be interested in the Hive Gaming Community as well.
Also, as Hive can sometimes be quite confusing, the newly launched Newbies Guide should be helpful to you, as it is a growing repository of useful and easy to understand posts about how the Hive ecosystem works.
Please be aware that Hive is a bit different from other social media platforms since you are monetizing your blog, so it is important not to include content that you don't own without sources (and it shouldn't exceed 50% of the post). Since you're new, you may run into an RC (Resource Credits) error when trying to comment/post because you don't yet have enough Hive in your account yet. For assistance with a temporary delegation to get you started, be sure to check out the Gift Giver site.
