# A Season Of Staking, Botting, Renting, Buying, Pooling and Landing - Splinter Stats Ranked Rewards Season 21 Report Card

@jagged71

This Season I invested in an XBOT token after seeing the aggressive stance that it took watching @Giotrix using it.
Also, playing @Giotrix in some challenges showed me how a couple of cards could beef up my line-up.
@Bobaphet speaking of MonsterMarket's return of DEC inspired me to use it to buy the beefy cards.
@MattClarke talking about his Streaking, I mean Staking escapades, made me focus on Staking my token more often.
My Land holdings involved mostly Caldera and Forest. I felt it lacked Plains to grow food so I invested in 3 Plain Plots to utilise them in the early days of food production.

Overall, I finished the season in Diamond. I was hoping to reach Champion but the Xbot was way more aggressive than I had thought. It ended up not leaving me much energy to battle myself, and it had a couple of difficult days as the competition improved quite considerably. This all points towards some more serious gaming which will benefit the Splinterlands world in the long run.

The soulbound cards are a great boon for Splinterland active players. They provide a noticable presence as they start to level up.

I rented a few cards to see how they performed.
I ended up buying Runic Skyclaw & Runemancer Florre to reduce my rental reliance in the future. They are very potent cards even at low levels. I will level them up as soon as the opportunity presents itself.

SPS are a great gift for those who stake and play.
I have thrown my unused Vouchers, Hive, & other tokens, into Pool to let them do some work for me until I need them in the future.
Land has helped, as well as, Nightmare/Soulkeep cards (that I have purchased from Rental income), to boost my SPS totals.

A great Season of learning and trialling in a broad range of Splinterlands areas.
This is an amazing time to explore the gifts that this game brings to those of us who see the value of playing and investing.
A shout out too to @Bulldog, @holozor and @stever82 for the content and wisdom that bring to the game.
