My introduction to Hive

I am a new artist joining this great community, first of all I want to thank my wonderful friend @thegolden who explained everything to me about how things work here on this site and advised me to enter this wonderful world and share my designs and drawings with you here.

I'm James, I'm 20 years old, and I'm studying art. It's never been my interest to study medicine or engineering, and I always said I'd become a painter one day.

For me, every day a person is able to gain more skills or develop the skills he possesses, and this is one of the most and most important things that I focus on in my life, which is trying to learn new and unconventional ways of drawing.

About a week ago I joined the wonderful Splinterlands game, at first it seemed very difficult and impossible to learn but now after I read a lot about it and @thegolden explained a lot to me also I have a lot of good information about it.

Since I love drawing and I love Splinterlands, I wanted to draw this drawing as a gift from me to the game Splinterlands and to all the players here, this drawing is just the beginning and I will continue to draw monsters and much more about the game.

I started coloring

Here I finished coloring after a very long time and started recoloring the drawing so that the colors became more clear

Here I tried to make the outer cover darker and took this last picture

This drawing took almost two days to complete, it was very difficult and I worked on it for hours to present this to you as my first drawing in this amazing world.
I hope you liked it after this long toil and I hope to have a great time with you here and to have many great friends.

I hope that you will give me your opinion in the replies, did you like the drawing and how it could look better ?

Thanks for your time to read

Hello @james100! This is @jcrodriguez from the @OCD team. Welcome to hive!

Congratulations on making your first publication and introducing yourself to the community.

I also invite you to explore other communities that you might like in this post: OCD Communities Incubation Program. There is a wide variety of topics. Check out all the communities. If you are looking for tips and information as a Hive newbie, click here: newbie guide. They are easy to understand and useful for learning how the platform ecosystem works.

You may encounter RC (Resource Credits) issues when trying to comment/post because you don't have enough Hive Power in your account yet. You can fix this with a one week temporary delegation through the Gift Giver Site. Another solution is for the person who recommended Hive to delegate some Hive Power to you.

Please be aware that Hive is a bit different from other social media platforms since you are monetizing your blog, so it is important not to include content that you don't own without sources (and it shouldn't exceed 50% of the post). For more information, check this post - Why and How People Abuse and Plagiarise by hivewatchers.

If you have questions or concerns, you can hop into OCD's Discord server and we'll gladly answer your questions.

I wish you much success in HIVE!
