During the past week, I imagined if the background of Splinterlands was a little different and the monsters had different shapes in the game, and I worked on designing a simple background for the game.
The painter's thinking is always very different from other people, he sees things in his own way so for me I always look for graphics of monsters, what are good graphics? What are the graphics that do not look good and need to be modified? Also, how can we design these graphics in a different way? These questions are often asked to myself
Last week, I had a great idea, which is why not design a background for Splinterlands using some monsters from my imagination, I tried to design the background this time with monsters whose shapes are close to the anime monsters, therefore, the drawing seems a little far from the basic background shape of Splinterlands, but I just wanted to put my own distinctive mark on this game, and this drawing, as usual, is a gift from me to the wonderful world of Splinterlands and to all the fans of this game around the world.
Before starting to show my drawing, I want to talk a little bit about the graphics of monsters for the new update of Splinterlands. The December 8 update was really cool. Although there is a big change in a lot of monsters and a lot of new and wonderful abilities, but here is also new and amazing graphics as well and because, as I said before, the artist sees things in his own way, these things are what impressed me the most in the latest update in Splinterlands, and I think this gives a lot of enthusiasm to the players because they see new monsters in the game and they are not bored.
I think there is a lot of work being done by the new account of Splinterlands called Splatterchampion to help him share unique graphics every week and use these graphics as a new NFTs in the game and I hope that one day I can participate with my graphics in the game and become part of the monsters of this game, and I want to thank all the creative illustrators who submit their designs every week to try to develop the game more and more, and to learn more about Splinterschampion you can read this post: https://hive.blog/hive-13323/@splinterlands/deadly-performance-splinterchampion-nfts
My tools for drawing this special background
- pencil
- an eraser
- inking pens
- wooden coloring pens
** These were all the tools I used in my drawing, in addition to my drawing notebook!**
Drawing steps
In the beginning, like any drawing, I drew the starting lines in lead and I re-drawn many times until I reached the shapes of these monsters that I want to draw.
Then I decided to add a third monster and then draw the game logo in the middle, and that's how I finished the drawing with a pencil.
After that I started coloring my drawing and because I like light colors I wanted to color the drawing with these colors and to change from the dark background of the game, which is black.
Then I painted the monster at the bottom blue because I like this color so much!

After that, I colored the last monster green so that the colors look harmonious with each other and so that the drawing looks a little light!
And now that I finished coloring the monsters, I moved on to coloring the background with some light colors that fit the drawing
Then I added some light blue to the background!
This is how the final drawing looked
I want to choose the monster at the top on the right to be a fierce defender in the Earth team, so I also colored it green because that's the team color and also the monster on the left I want it to be a back attacker with Fire team and has "sneak" ability, so I color it in this fiery color because it's the color of the team as for the last monster below, I want it to be a Neutral monster and we can use it with all the team and I drew it with a sword because I want it to be a very strong attacker!
This is how I imagined if the background of Splinterlands was from the anime and I am now working very hard to be able to share my designs for new monsters with the game to become one of the designers of the monsters of this great game!
