🌟 Hello, Friends and Family from the Splinterlands Universe! 🌟
For this week’s Splinterlands Social Media Challenge, we’re diving into one of the hottest topics around: 🔥
🎉 The release of the two newest Hall of Legends cards !
Meriput Mossmender and Nephket! These powerful cards are set to make their grand debut on the battlefield in just two weeks. 🕒⚔️
Stay tuned as we explore what makes these cards so exciting and how they could reshape the meta! 🚀
📝 Introduction:
The purpose of this post isn’t just to discuss the terms of the sale, but also to highlight the merits of these new cards based on the previews we’ve received so far. ✨
🛑 Disclaimer: As of writing this, the cards haven’t been released in-game yet, so we can’t fully test their power. However, we can preview the cards, check their stats per level, and start crunching some numbers to decide how many we might want to buy, if any. 💡📊
Let’s dive into the details and get ready for some strategic planning! 🚀
💰 Terms of the Sale:
Let’s start with what we know, as that’s the easiest part. 🧐
Meriput Mossmender and Nephket are the next two cards in the Rebellion promo sales, released as part of the Hall of Legends promo series. This series has already introduced some incredibly strong cards, like ELANOR BRAVEFOOT, DELYA, RIKLAUNIMAN, and others. 🃏🔥
It’s clear that the team is going the extra mile to make these cards exceptional, aiming to boost sales. 💪💎
- If you’re a high-level player with plenty of funds, you might want to grab them all without hesitation. 💸✨
- But if you’re like me, managing limited resources, choosing wisely where to invest is crucial for long-term success. 🧠⚖️
Let’s analyze these cards to see if they’re worth the splurge! 🚀
🔍 Let’s Analyze the Cards: Cost, Stats, and Abilities
🛡️ Nephket
Nephket is a legendary card, meaning you’ll need 11 copies to max it out. By the terms of the sale, that’s approximately 550,000 DEC. 💰
⚠️ Important Considerations:
- Buying 11 copies does not guarantee a Gold Foil (GF) version.
- If you want a GF copy, consider teaming up with someone else to buy 25 copies to at least guarantee one GF card. ✨
💡 Pro Tip: This card is expensive, and using it under leveled might not be an ideal option, as it earns at least one new ability per level alongside some stat boosts.
🧐 Initial Thoughts:
Looking at the stats (subject to change by the team), the card doesn’t seem very promising in its current form:
Weaknesses:
- With only 5 life, it’s vulnerable, especially against popular meta cards like Tofu 🐦 since every time it attacks it will take 3 damage putting the card at risk of dying after just 1 attack.
- Besides Divine Shield, it lacks defensive capabilities.
- Speed isn’t particularly impressive, which is crucial for survival for this type of cards.
Strengths:
- The melee and ranged attack combo is intriguing, but with just 1 ranged damage, its impact feels underwhelming.
All the attack and abilities this card brings are ok, they are mostly useful.
There's a possible interesting interaction with Knock Out and Stun. If the Stun applies before the damage this card will deal double damage if it manages to stun an enemy.
🤔 Final Thoughts on Nephket:
Right now, this card seems overpriced for its utility in the current meta. Unless its stats improve, it might not be great in competitive play. ⚔️
If the Knock Out + Stun combo can proc on the same turn the card becomes a lot better but still not enough to be an amazing card.
🌿 Meriput Mossmender
Meriput Mossmender is a rare card, requiring 115 copies to max out. At a price of 3,000 DEC per copy, a maxed card would cost around 345,000 DEC.
💡 Key Insights:
- You’ll receive at least 4 Gold Foil (GF) copies, which can be converted into about 20 Regular Foil (RF) copies or more. This makes it realistic to max the card for approximately 285,000 DEC.
📊 Stats and Abilities:
Meriput Mossmender is clearly a support unit, offering:
- Repair, Cleanse, and the new Echo ability. 🛠️🧼✨
- Defensive Perks:
- Dodge: Useful for avoiding sneak attacks while sitting in the backline.
- 2 armor and 6 life: Decent for a 6-mana card.
- Weaknesses:
- Only 2 damage and 1 speed, though acceptable for a support role.
🔄 Level Progression:
- Level 1: Starts with Repair, making it a solid option for Bronze and Silver.
- Level 4: Gains Cleanse, further boosting its utility in Silver matches.
- Max Level: Unlocks the powerful Echo ability, the highlight of this card! 🌟
🔔 The New Ability: Echo
Echo is a support ability that doubles the effect of all other support abilities like Repair, Heals, and Cleanse per round. 🤯
This is a game-changing ability with massive potential:
- Every healer on your team essentially becomes two healers.
- This includes Tank Heals and Backline Heals, making teams with cards like Iziar, Goblin Psychic, and Tofu's Triage incredibly strong.
💬 Prediction: If released as it is, Echo could become one of the most impactful abilities in the game. 🔥
🧠 Strategic Analysis:
Meriput Mossmender’s true value lies in the Echo ability, which fits perfectly in the current meta and enables numerous powerful combinations.
- Mana Cost: At 6 mana, it’s affordable and usable in most team setups.
- Recommendation: If you’re going to buy one of these new cards, this is the one to prioritize.
- Go for a max copy if you can.
- If not, lower-level copies are only worthwhile if you play in Bronze or Silver.
🏁 Conclusion – Which Card Deserves Your DEC?
Splinterlands continues to innovate with every new release, and the Hall of Legends promo series is no exception. The introduction of Nephket and Meriput Mossmender brings exciting new possibilities to the game, but their value depends greatly on your play style and budget.
⚖️ Nephket – A Niche Option
While Nephket brings an interesting melee and ranged combo, it struggles to shine in the current meta. Its defensive shortcomings and high cost make it a tough sell unless you're a collector or play at the very highest levels. Its beautiful artwork, however, is undeniably top-tier and worth admiring. 🎨
🌿 Meriput Mossmender – A Must-Have Support
In contrast, Meriput Mossmender stands out as a true game-changer. Its Echo ability introduces an unprecedented level of support synergy, making it an invaluable asset for creative strategies. Add to that its affordability compared to Nephket, and you have a card that’s both impactful and accessible. Whether you play in Bronze or at max levels, this card is well worth considering.
💡 Final Recommendation
If your budget is limited, Meriput Mossmender is the clear choice, especially if you can invest in a max copy to unlock its full potential. However, if you’re a high-level player or collector with funds to spare, adding Nephket to your lineup may still be appealing.
Ultimately, the choice comes down to your priorities: collecting stunning cards, experimenting with groundbreaking abilities, or maximizing competitive play. Whatever you choose, these cards promise to keep the battlefield exciting and unpredictable. 🔥⚔️

Echo is a very good ability. I just wish that the card belongs to a different element since it makes the most spammable line up more powerful, resulting in less lineup diversities.
yep, echo is super good and its for both of the elements from Tofu so its going to be spammed to death
