💰 It’s affordable! Since Olivia and Iziar are Soulbound reward cards and Adelade Brightwing is from the Chaos Legion set, this combo is accessible to most players and its way cheaper than some pricey options like Venka or Tofu.
Another great aspect of this combo is its versatility. It works across many rulesets and can be paired with multiple strategies. The possibilities are endless! 🔄✨
⚠️ Important: This combo shines in Gold and Diamond leagues but is not viable for Silver or Bronze.

By now, we all know Adelade Brightwing, a fantastic addition to the game with an impressive set of five abilities! 💪✨
She’s one of the few Chaos Legion cards with five skills, making her incredibly valuable on the battlefield. Let’s break down what makes her so powerful:

As a Flying unit, Adelade:

While Flying isn’t a game-breaking ability on its own, it’s always a great bonus especially since it’s relatively rare!

Repair is a game-changer that can swing matches in your favor. It restores armor to the most damaged ally, which is crucial when paired with armor-heavy units.
Key Strengths:

🔹 Works best when multiple units have armor
Adelade’s Repair makes her a great support unit, especially in armor-based strategies!
💀 Resurrect
This is Adelade’s most important ability and the reason this combo works so well! Resurrect revives the first fallen ally, bringing them back for another round.

I could argue that any of Adelade’s other abilities could be swapped, and she’d still be strong—but not Resurrect! It’s the core of her strength.

This ability shines in Poison matches, but even outside of them, not being affected by debuffs is always a plus!

Speed is one of the most crucial stats in Splinterlands, and Swiftness makes Adelade even more valuable.

Last but certainly not least, we have Olivia—one of the strongest cards in the Rebellion Reward set! 💥 Many consider her the best soulbound card, and for good reason.
At first glance, Olivia’s stats seem modest (1 magic, 2 melee), but her abilities make her an absolute powerhouse! ⚡

🌀 Mimic: The only card with this ability! Olivia steals an enemy ability each turn and when attacked. This means the longer she survives, the stronger she becomes! 🏆
🛡️ Reflection Shield: One of the best defensive abilities in the game! Olivia takes zero damage from Blast, Thorns, Magic Reflect, and Return Fire, making her incredibly durable in tricky matchups.
🎯 Opportunity: This offensive ability allows Olivia to target the weakest enemy unit, making her a lethal assassin while also letting her attack from any position!

⚔️ The Ruleset
For this battle, we had a 41 mana cap and these three rulesets:
Equal Opportunity 🏹
All units gain the Opportunity ability, making them prioritize the weakest enemy.Briar Patch 🌿
All units have Thorns, punishing melee attackers!Ferocity 🦁
All units gain Fury, dealing double damage to Taunt units.
This was the perfect scenario for Olivia, thanks to her Reflection Shield negating Thorns damage!

- Arkemis the Bear as the main tank, with Protect to benefit from Adelade’s Repair.
- Doctor Blight to apply Poison and deal steady damage.
- Iziar’s Martyr to buff Olivia, making her stronger as the battle goes on.
- Olivia’s Reflection Shield to counter Thorns.
- Adelade’s Resurrect ensuring Iziar dies twice, maximizing buffs for Olivia.

🎬 Battle Breakdown: Turn by Turn
Turn 1: The Fall of Iziar
- Iziar was eliminated immediately due to Mantaroth’s overwhelming damage.
- Since Adelade resurrected Iziar, he fell twice in the first turn.
- Meanwhile, I couldn’t eliminate the opponent’s tank and taunter, so the match was favoring my enemy.
Turn 2: Olivia Starts Growing
- Enemy taunter down! Olivia was already hitting for 4 melee damage and secured the kill.
- Unfortunately, Dax Paragon fell, but he wasn’t crucial.
- Olivia stole Shield, increasing her survivability.
Turn 3: The Loss of Adelade
- Adelade dies, weakening my team’s support.
- Arkemis still stands strong, providing armor to my entire team.
- Olivia steals Triage, allowing her to heal the backline.
Turn 4: Olivia Gains Blast!
- Olivia steals Blast, massively increasing her damage output.
- Both Arkemis and Conjurer fall, shifting the match into a 2v2 showdown.
- Doctor Blight remains a silent MVP, stacking HP due to Opportunity mechanics.
Turn 5: The Battle of Buffs
- The enemy strategy was focused on buffing Mantaroth, reaching 20+ HP with Triage and Scavenger.
- Meanwhile, Olivia kept stealing abilities, but she hadn’t acquired Scavenger yet.
Turn 9: The Final Duel
- The match dragged on due to high HP pools, but in the final turns, Olivia had the upper hand.
- Mantaroth vs. Olivia was never really a contest. Blight’s poison and Olivia’s massive buffs sealed the win.

I showcased this battle because it perfectly demonstrates how Olivia thrives in long fights. She gained buffs early and became an unstoppable force.
✅ We defeated two of the most expensive cards (Tofu & Mantaroth) with a budget-friendly team.
