What are Custom Sets?

As the name implies, Custom Sets allow players to group cards together to be rented as a package for a specified price. This feature offers several advantages and disadvantages, which we will explore in this post. 🎮💡

There’s no strict limit on how you can build a set—Custom Sets can include cards from any expansion. However, it’s generally a good idea to follow some guidelines, such as including cards of similar levels or from similar expansions, to maintain consistency and balance.

👑 For Card Lords

In the play-to-earn realm, we have both die-hard and casual players, as well as Card Lords—those who own a huge collection of cards and choose to earn by renting them out. With Custom Sets, Card Lords enjoy several benefits:

Cost Savings: No need to pay 1 DEC per individual card; list your cards as one set for just 1 DEC! 💰
Convenience: Custom Sets allow you to manage your collection effortlessly, ensuring no card is left unrented while offering deals that boost your earnings.

🎮 For Players

Streamlined Rentals: Renting becomes a breeze! Instead of juggling multiple rentals and renewals, you can grab an entire set in one go. This streamlined process saves time and makes gameplay smoother for everyone. 🤩
Competitive Edge: For tournament or ranked play, having a Custom Set tailored to each ruleset is essential. It ensures you’re never stuck with a subpar lineup, helping you stay competitive. 🏆

🔍 How to Access Custom Sets

Open Market: Click the Market button at the top left corner of your screen.
Select Set Rentals: From the dropdown, choose Set Rentals.

You’ll land on a page with four categories:

Chaos Legion (Core & Reward)
Riftwatchers (Expansion)
Rebellion (Core)
Custom: our focus for today!

Click on the Custom category to see a variety of affordable Custom Sets available for rent.

You can view the cards by clicking View Cards, and then click Rent to select the set you want. The process couldn’t be easier for a renter! As with any rental, you can pay in DEC or Credits, and the rental lasts until the end of the season.
Note: If you rent a set a few days before the season ends, the rental will last until the end of the season and continue into the next season.

🛠️ Creating Your Own Custom Set

As easy as it is to rent an existing Custom Set, it's just as simple to create one yourself for renting out.

So, are you ready to build your personalized set? Follow these steps: 🚀

Switch to Create Mode: Click the Create button to start designing your set.
Filter Your Choices: Use filters like mana cost, ability, splinter, or edition to narrow down your options.
Auto-fill Tool: Let the auto-fill feature suggest optimized card combinations based on your preferences.
Name Your Set: Give it a clear, descriptive name so you can easily find it later.

Once you've created your set, you can list it for rent at your desired price. Honestly, the process is straightforward and intuitive. 👍
