Splinterlands Monthly Townhall has heated its community because of its big updates for the coming first quarter of 2025. The TownHall has released a lot of information regarding upcoming game updates, modernization of its UI/UX, land 1.75 updates, and validator nodes.
#1: Survival Mode
This is a great addition to the game and gives more excitement to the players. If you're done with the ranked battles you can switch on this game mode and earn more. Since this game mode has allocated SPS rewards sponsored by the Splinterlands company. The reward distribution is the same with the current formats wild and modern. I heard about this game mode a few years ago and I'm amazed that we are now able to experience it next year.
However, it's disappointing that they have allowed the use of battle helpers and automation tools in this game mode. I think they should have reconsidered this option because the bot farm will again rise and come to milk or drain the allocated rewards. Instead of making a good impact on the game, this could result in a problem like what they have encountered before.
#2: Mobile App
It's good to hear that Splinterlands is committed to developing a mobile app for this game. This will provide more ease of use to mobile users. The mobile app has been denied and not a priority in the past years and look at it now they have listened to the community and pushing through to make the app.
