Splinterland Brawls are a guild event where you can earn merits and SPS. This post serves as a way for me to review how my fights went and as a reminder to sign up for the next brawl. I missed the result screen of the previous brawl so I need to pay a bit more attention. My battle results weren't the best though as I lost most of my actual battles and there weren't many free wins this time.
Brawl fights
I won 2 fight and lost the other 4. Below is an idea of the match and a few thoughts about it, but considering that I only had 4 fights, I am in a different brawl match than before. My usual spot in the gold league category was taken so I took the bronze gold foil spot. This means that I won't be at a level disadvantage and should expect more wins. However, that didn't happen this time around.
You can find the first match here. I lost this match because my opponent had the stronger lineup. The summoner and magic monsters through weapons training were too much to overcome.
You can find the second match here. I lost this match because my opponent just had the stronger lineup. All those high-health monsters made it hard to kill off my opponent and that opportunity in the back just demolished my lineup. My lineup was built around trying to outlast my opponent but my opponent just overwhelmed me.
You can find the third match here. I won this match and the void monster combined with my summoner just destroyed my opponent's damage. He couldn't damage me and I just slowly took out my opponent.
You can find the fourth match here. I lost this match because my opponent had the stronger lineup again. The speed difference was kind of hard to overcome when combined with protect to reduce my daamge.
You can find the fifth match here. I lost this match because my opponent had the stronger lineup again. All those magic monsters were a bit too much to overcome and our summoners canceled out each other.
You can find the sixth match here. I won this match but it was a close match. My Regal Peryton was able to last long enough for me to win the match. I was a bit worried when I saw the return fire from the summoner.
Brawl Result
I chose the gold foil modern Brawl and I got 2 wins and 4 losses. It was a bad brawl as I lost so many fights and my guild also didn't rank that well either. My rewards for the brawl were 4,857 merits and 78.257 SPS in the 4-star category. I forgot to visit the guild and take a closer view of my rewards but I think we ranked in around 7th place. I was expecting to do better given the bronze brawls.
Conclusion
The brawl was quite bad this time around. I guess the strategy of submitting your matches always didn't work out in this case, but I think it helps more than it doesn't. I still think there was 1 free win so I can just blame the rest on bad luck. I hope my next brawl is better.

It's not a bad outing altogether. I think there's no shame in losing to stronger lineup. I watched the third game you played and wondered how you predicted the opponent will come with only magic cards.
Yea. It was a rough brawl, and for that specific match, I didn't know he would only use magic cards. It was little league and I thought that it was the best choice.
