Every week there is a Splinterlands challenge that can be found in this week's post. I also encourage Splinterlands players to partake in the challenge because they get to learn about the game. In this week's challenge, we talk about how the year went, what were the most memorable battles, and our goals for the new year.
Battles
There were a lot of memorable battles, but the most recent ones come up to mind. There were quite a few battles where I won because I made use of some combination of cards or rulesets to win the match.
Most Mememorable.
One of the most recent was the one here. In this particular fight, I use the ruleset to help me out and the double demoralize reduced the melee damage. Adding in amplify to increase the thorns damage also helped to destroy that melee lineup that my opponent used. My opponent did have more cards leveled up than me, but I won due to my combination of cards.
Other combinations of cards
I used a few other good strategies. I list a few below. There were probably more but these three were also good combinations that I found myself using a lot.
- Noa the Just, Baakjira and Daarg Deadblast when combined with Possibilius and Coastal Sentry
- Immortalis combined with Regal Peryton and ranged monsters
- Katrelba Gobson when combined with martyr and inspire
Goals
With the new year coming out and talks about a new edition of cards coming out, I aim to learn how to use my deck based on that. It will reduce my deck's power by quite a bit because those are my stronger cards and I haven't bought too many of the Riftwatchers set. I think I will have to make changes to my deck then and spend some funds to upgrade the deck to be more competitive. I also plan to make sure that I participate in every single brawl and not miss one. I have missed a few in the past, and it always hits me hard. So I will try to make sure that I don't miss any brawls in 2025 as another goal that I want to do.
How will I hit these goals?
I plan to set aside some funds for the new set and to make changes to my deck. I don't think I will change my current deck too much until I see the new set of cards. It might also be good to participate in a few tournaments a few weeks after the new set is released to understand the new metas in the deck and to see the various combinations available.
Conclusion
This challenge was to look back into the previous year and what our goals are for Splinterlands in 2025. Looking back, I think that there were quite a few memorable battles, but the most recent battles tend to be on my mind more. So I went with that and listed a few other combinations that worked well in battles. My goal is to focus more on the new set because I think that set will be coming soon because Riftwatchers are no longer being sold. There was even a DAO proposal on the new set, so I don't think it will be too long before the fights change quite a bit in Splinterlands.
What is your goal for Splinterlands in 2025?

There are some games we play and you just can help but reflect on how you flawlessly took out your opponent with some master class strategy. Great win with the double demoralize, it made the opponent melee attack toothless really.
Yea. it was a really good battle and it worked well against that large melee build.
I really wanna see what will happen when CA comes out and CL goes out of modern, i don't think it's looking good the marketing, we are not anymore in 2021
I don't thikn as many packs will be released, but maybe they will release a ton and burn them daily again. I am wondering just how they are doing financially now because they are funded by the DHF for a little bit longer.
Dhf proposal was meant merely for marketing tough
