I liked everything in part 1 of that chapter: it was a climax of events and this ending left me with the NEED to know what happens next 🔥

Nice rythm to this paragraph. Really gives out the feeling of time slowing and June retreating in herself.

She put her power into steadying the damn things, trying to make sure Vik was covered, when another little blast punched into her eyes.

It was big—the structure was enormous to be sure—but it wasn’t the same bigness as before. No, that was only accessible through someone special.
