Its almost 1,5 years since the release of Rebellion set, and just around 8 months ago we got ourself on the latest Rebellion rewards set. And now we got ourself to the new upcoming Conclave Arcana. Thought the momentum isn't right as Christmas is already past (and so our pocket might be short); I thought the contrary that this is a great moment to grab the Conclave Arcana on pre-sale with less competition.
PRESALE OF CONCLAVE ARCANA
The good news about the Conclave Arcana, the price per pack is less than Rebellion pack (which is 5,000 DEC / 5,000 credit but with possibility for 20% discount using Vouchers). And you also get extra quota for the pre-sale coming from 100k Alchemy Packs and 50k Legendary Packs.
The bonus of pre-sale also has been added. In addition to Promo Cards and Leaderboard Prizes, there is also this Raffle Prize, which I think give a fair share to every participants of the pre-sale.
The Promo Cards consist of a Rare and a Legendary cards. Both attainable for every 40k DEC (10 packs) and 400k DEC (100 packs) purchased respectively. Interestingly the Legendary promo card, Garamel The Hunger, is the first card (ever) to possess Melee, Ranged, and Magic attack all together!
Leaderboard Prizes give extra tip by providing extra tier on the Titles and bonus cards in addition to the title.
GENERAL SALE OF CONCLAVE ARCANA
The competition is getting tighter as there are only 4,500,000 packs on general (almost half than Rebellion edition). But the fact only around 1,000,000 Rebellion packs got sold (around 8 Million packs got burned). This is a harsh fact as if the last editions pack is unappealing. The decision to reduce the Conclave Arcana total packs is a wise decision reflecting on the past sale. Conclave Arcana will be put into test, on whether Splinterlands still have their fan base clinging.
I admit that Alchemy pack and Legendary pack give an extra buffer to the main supply packs. Legendary Pack seemed a better bargain than Alchemy Pack. Attaining Legendary card is not easy and 6 times the normal pack price is great deal. But Alchemy Pack might be a bit overpriced considering chances that Gold Foil will fall into Common card. But keeping in mind that Alchemy Pack have that extra benefit of double chances to gain Black Foil card compared to Legendary Pack.
Still I would think its best to wait until General Sale to purchase Alchemy packs and Legendary packs. Their premium prices are more susceptible to price volatility. There is higher chances for price drop in the secondary market.
CONFLICT
Conflict is another great things that come since Rebellion editions release. And the good news you could take Rebellion cards (core, promo, and even the reward cards!) into the Mage Wagon for 50% contribution power. But there is a catch. Now the Mage Wagons will need repair after each Conflict. The cost are yet to be decided, but these could keep most players worries. Especially if players hold large number of wagons. From my experience, the last Conflict grant various powerful Archon cards which very useful in battle.
CONCLUSION
With all the scheme already depicted. This Pre-Sale is a good opportunity to boost your cards collection and keeping update with the latest gameplay.
