Introduction:
As a dedicated player of Splinterlands, I have observed the detrimental impact of bots on the Wild mode, leading to unfair advantages, a compromised economy, and a tarnished reputation for the game. To address this issue, I propose the implementation of measures to ban bots from the Wild mode in Splinterlands. This action aims to restore fairness, integrity, and economic stability while attracting new players and repairing the game's reputation.

Objective:
The primary objective of this proposal is to eradicate the presence of bots in the Wild mode of Splinterlands. By doing so, the game will experience a revival of fair competition, a more robust in-game economy, and an enhanced reputation, ultimately attracting new players and retaining existing ones.

Proposal Details:

  1. Implementation of Bot Detection Mechanisms: The game developers will implement advanced bot detection mechanisms to identify and ban bots from participating in the Wild mode. These mechanisms will use sophisticated algorithms to detect abnormal patterns of behavior that indicate the presence of bots.

  2. Enforcement of Strict Penalties: Once bots are identified, strict penalties will be enforced, including temporary or permanent bans from the Wild mode. These penalties will serve as a deterrent to bot operators and ensure a level playing field for all legitimate players.

  3. Economic Impact Assessment: The game developers will conduct a comprehensive assessment of the economic impact of bot removal. This assessment will analyze the stabilization of in-game markets, the reduction of artificial inflation, and the restoration of fair competition, thereby benefiting the overall in-game economy.

  4. Communication and Transparency: The implementation of bot detection mechanisms and penalties will be transparently communicated to the Splinterlands community through official channels. This will demonstrate the developers' commitment to fairness and integrity while rebuilding player trust and confidence.

Benefits:

  1. Fair Competition: Banning bots will restore fair competition in the Wild mode, providing all players with an equal opportunity to succeed based on skill and strategy rather than automated processes.

  2. Economic Stability: The removal of bots will stabilize the in-game economy by reducing artificial inflation, ensuring fair pricing, and fostering a healthier marketplace for in-game assets.

  3. Reputation Repair: By taking decisive action against bots, Splinterlands will demonstrate its commitment to integrity and fairness, thereby repairing its reputation and attracting new players who seek a genuine and balanced gaming experience.

  4. New Player Attraction: With a restored reputation and fair gameplay, Splinterlands will become more appealing to new players who are seeking a competitive and trustworthy gaming environment.

Conclusion:
The proposal to ban bots in the Wild mode of Splinterlands is a crucial step toward restoring fairness, economic stability, and reputation within the game. By implementing bot detection mechanisms, enforcing strict penalties, and communicating transparently with the community, Splinterlands will create an environment that is conducive to fair competition, a robust economy, and a positive player experience. This will ultimately attract new players and retain existing ones, leading to a reinvigorated and reputable game environment.

Sort:

Bots are already banned in Modern. When that ban went live the impact was immediate and wonderful.

This proposal would effectively be a ban of bots in Spl in general and quite frankly I will always support a ban of bots 'playing' the game. That said, with a bot ban I will also caveat that I think bots are critical for market functionality and I will always support market bots.
