My feelings about the changes ? mehhh I'm really afraid this will exacerbate the root of the problem. I'll start with a quick poll :
When play SL, do you use a tool to help you creating your team:
- I use a tool where I input the rule/mana and it spit out a team (like splinterboard)
- I use my notes/googles sheet with data I've gathered.
- I don't need a tool. I just do my best by myself
Be honest :P I use to do #2 alot in the early days. Then over the past month I've been more into #3. But now, I'm all for #1. Ain't that a problem ? I feel like I enjoy the game way more when I come up with the team by myself. But my wallet says otherwise.
The season just reset, I'm back in Gold 3 from Diamond 3. And my rating is free falling. I'm looking at my opponents history.. all bots. They all had the cards they played with... So what now ? We just gave bots an incentive to play event better. Bots are killing this game. It's a tool vs tool game more than ever. Actually, there's a way to beat a beat a better tool : having better cards. If you can reach silver and have silver cards, you'll face tons of low lvl bronze players trying to rank up without the appropriate cards for their new league.
On the positive side, I've started into creating my own bot (I have a master degree in AI). I feel like I'm having more fun with this personal project. I'll keep you posted :P
