Si eres un jugador nuevo y te sientes algo frustrado por perder y no subir en las clasificaciones, te sientes estancado y quieres mejorar, pues te tengo buenas noticias, ya que pretendo cambiar tu perspectiva del juego, dándote algunos consejos, estrategias y el modo de cambiar tu realidad en Splinterlands, esto para que definitivamente salgas del agujero en el que te encuentras, no será fácil, pero en mi opinión valdrá la pena.
Principalmente, hablare de cosas que no me dijeron cuando yo inicie, por supuesto, hoy en día hay mucha ayuda para que entiendas rápidamente el juego y de hecho sepas lo básico, pero, aun así, sabiendo todo esto, no logras avanzar, pues es precisamente en esto donde me enfocare, ya que algunos puede que lo sepan y en estos momentos lo están aplicando, pero otros, aun no se les ocurre, así que, espero ayudar a muchos jugadores con esto esa especia de Guía que dividiré en varias partes.
Nota: Comenzare por lo mas básico, así que en este post no hablare de nada avanzado, solo me enfocare en mostrar como los jugadores pueden enfocarse y saber que necesitan para iniciar en el juego. Puede que me salte algunas cosas, así que, si sabes cuales son, puedes dejarlas en los comentarios.
¿Cómo enfocarte y por dónde empezar?
Para comenzar, como todo nuevo jugador, lo normal es que te sientas perdido, no sabes a donde ir, que hacer, son muchas cartas que realmente debes tomar en cuenta para jugar, pero, no solo eso, existen varios modos de juego y 2 formatos principales, cual debes elegir y cuál es la diferencia, pues, esto lo resumiré de manera muy sencilla, para luego en la siguiente sección dar las indicaciones básicas de a donde dirigirte para observar, cartas y los mazos necesarios que puedes utilizar desde un inicio inclusive siendo un novato en el juego.
PD: Hay formas más avanzadas de construir un mazo de cartas que, es la base de un jugador para ser competitivo, pero, lo explicare en otro post, por lo pronto, seguimos con lo más básico:
Modos de juego y formatos
Existen varios modos de juegos en los cuales tenemos:
- Ranked Play: Este es el principal y donde todo inicio, en este modo de juego encontraremos 2 formatos de juego distintos, como el “Moderno y el Salvaje”, la diferencia entre estos principalmente radica en las ediciones de cartas que podemos utilizar, por ejemplo, en el formato “Salvaje” podemos utilizar todas y cada una de las ediciones, pero en el “Moderno”, podemos solo usar las 2 ultimas ediciones activas en el juego, en este caso y justo ahora, esas ediciones son (Chaos Legion y Rebellion), cuando salga Conclave Arcana, seria Rebellion y estas ultima y Chaos Legion pasaría al formato salvaje.
- Guild Brawls: Este es uno de los modos de juego que mas me gusta, en donde te unes a un equipo y cada 2 o 5 días me parece y te enfrentas a jugadores de otros gremios, debo decir que este es uno de los modos mas competitivos de todo el juego, sin importar la posición que tenga el gremio, siempre te encontraras a jugadores muy fuertes y extremadamente buenos aplicando estrategias, de hecho, una de mas mejores formas de aprender a jugar es aquí.
- Tournaments: Los torneos son de los modos de juego que mas me emocionan realmente, también es muy competitivo y te puedes conseguir a muchos oponentes realmente fuertes, sin embargo, en mi opinión, los grados de dificultad pueden variar bastante y depende mucho en la liga en donde quieras jugar, aun así, puede que sea debatible cual es más complicado que otro, pero, es básicamente lo mismo, puedes aprender mucho aquí, investigar a jugadores y básicamente observando puedes saber cómo juegan y cómo piensan.
Esto es lo que tenemos por ahora, pero, veamos que es lo que debes tener para jugar, e iniciar de la forma correcta sin complicarte en el proceso:
Lo que debes tener para iniciar en el juego
Hay algunas cosas que debes tener en cuenta y aunque inicialmente puedes jugar de manera gratuita, probar el juego, sus mecánicas y aprender sin invertir, esto es genial, sin embargo, para los que ya hayan pasado ese proceso y quieran invertir o saber de qué forma hacerlo, aquí mostrare como inicial de la forma más sencilla posible:

- SPS: Si quieres iniciar en el juego, necesitas si o si tokens SPS en Staking, ya que esto te brinda un multiplicador que te hará ganar mas “GLINTS”, el cual es un token que solo se puede utilizar para obtener artículos en la tienda de recompensas en el juego, a su vez, con este multiplicador, por cada batalla ganada también recibes “SPS”. Lo bueno de esto, es que, si no tienes el suficiente capital para comprarlo, puedes alquilarlo, saldría mucho mas barato, ademas, te puede servir también para jugar torneos, ya que muchos de ellos por no decir todos, dependiendo de la liga del torneo, piden cierta cantidad de SPS en Stake para que puedas jugar.
- Cartas: Quizás esto es lo mas complicado de todo, ya que existen cientos de cartas, hay varias ediciones y antes de elegir una ya deberías de tener presente que formato jugar, por ejemplo, el juego 100% manual se encuentra en el formato “Moderno” y si te quieres enfocar en este, pues, lo mas sencillo es solo buscar estas cartas, para esto hay un excelente opción llamada “Card Sets” en la opción de “Items” o también le puedes encontrar por la pestaña de “Market”, donde puedes rentar una colección completa durante toda la temporada en solo unos pocos clicks, actualmente solo esta disponible la edición de “Chaos Legion”, bueno es la única que tiene SETS completos.
Nota: Esto es básicamente todo lo que necesitas para empezar, aunque, puede que la edición de “Chaos Legion” no sea suficiente para luchar en el formato “Moderno” y necesitas de otras cartas de la edición de “Rebellion” por ejemplo, o “Rifwatchers” que forma parte de “Chaos Legion” también, cartas que puedes alquilar por medio de Peakmonsters o por medio del propio juego en sí, aunque prefiero este ultimo para hacerlo, pero el juego también te permite hacerlo.
Consideraciones Finales
En todo caso, esto es lo más básico que necesitas para empezar, si desean aprender mas sobre como alquilar otros mazos de cartas, por ejemplo, los de ”Rifwatchers o Rebellion” comenten esta publicación para preparar un post especial solo para esto, es algo un poco más avanzado para los nuevos, pero, es fácil de entender.

Note: I will start with the basics, so in this post I won't talk about anything advanced, I will just focus on showing how players can approach and know what they need to get started in the game. I may skip some things, so, if you know what they are, feel free to leave them in the comments.
How to approach and where to start?
To begin with, as any new player, it is normal that you feel lost, you do not know where to go, what to do, there are many cards that you really must take into account to play, but, not only that, there are several game modes and 2 main formats, which you should choose and what is the difference, well, I will summarize this in a very simple way, and then in the next section will give the basic indications of where to go to observe, cards and the necessary decks that you can use from the beginning even being a novice in the game.
PD: There are more advanced ways to build a deck of cards that is the basis of a player to be competitive, but I will explain it in another post, for now, we continue with the basics:
Game modes and formats
There are several game modes in which we have:
- Ranked Play: This is the main and where everything start, in this game mode we will find 2 different game formats, such as "Modern and Wild", the difference between these mainly lies in the editions of cards that we can use, for example, in the "Wild" format we can use each and every one of the editions, but in the "Modern", we can only use the last 2 editions active in the game, in this case and right now, those editions are (Chaos Legion and Rebellion), when Conclave Arcana comes out, it would be Rebellion and these last and Chaos Legion would pass to the wild format.
- Guild Brawls: This is one of the game modes that I like the most, where you join a team and every 2 or 5 days I think and you face players from other guilds, I must say that this is one of the most competitive modes of the game, no matter the position of the guild, you will always find very strong players and extremely good at applying strategies, in fact, one of the best ways to learn to play is here.
- Tournaments: Tournaments are one of the game modes that really excites me the most, it is also very competitive and you can get a lot of really strong opponents, however, in my opinion, the degrees of difficulty can vary quite a lot and it depends a lot on the league you want to play in, still, it might be debatable which one is more complicated than another, but, it is basically the same, you can learn a lot here, research players and basically by observing you can know how they play and how they think.
This is what we have for now, but, let's see what you must have to play, and start in the right way without complicating the process:
What you must have to get started in the game
There are a few things to keep in mind and although initially you can play for free, try the game, its mechanics and learn without investing, this is great, however, for those who have already gone through this process and want to invest or know how to do it, here I will show how to start in the simplest way possible:

- SPS: If you want to start in the game, you need if or if SPS tokens in Staking, as this gives you a multiplier that will earn you more "GLINTS", which is a token that can only be used to obtain items in the rewards store in the game, in turn, with this multiplier, for each battle won you also receive "SPS". The good thing about this is that, if you do not have enough capital to buy it, you can rent it, it would be much cheaper, besides, it can also serve you to play tournaments, since many of them, if not all, depending on the league of the tournament, ask for a certain amount of SPS in Stake so you can play.
- Cards: Perhaps this is the most complicated of all, since there are hundreds of cards, there are several editions and before choosing one you should already have in mind what format to play, for example, the 100% manual game is in the "Modern" format and if you want to focus on this, well, the easiest thing to do is just to look for these cards, for this there is an excellent option called "Card Sets" in the "Items" option or you can also find it through the "Market" tab, where you can rent a complete collection during the whole season in just a few clicks, currently only the "Chaos Legion" edition is available, well it is the only one that has complete SETS.
Note: This is basically all you need to get started, although, the "Chaos Legion" edition may not be enough to fight in the "Modern" format and you need other cards from the "Rebellion" edition for example, or "Rifwatchers" which is part of "Chaos Legion" as well, cards that you can rent through Peakmonsters or through the game itself, although I prefer the latter to do so, but the game also allows you to do so.

Podría acotar que las cartas que están dando gratuitas son buenas cartas así que el que entra nuevo tiene la opción de reunir cartas gratuitas he ir creciendo con un mazo fuerte.
