I think it's an excellent idea, generating income from advertising is fine, plus the links where you placed the possible banner is not invasive in my opinion.
Among other things, I have also written in my blog several ideas in order to help the project and the community in general, unfortunately no one reads them or takes them into consideration, it is difficult to get noticed.
In any case, if this were to be put to a motion, I would vote in favor.
