I was doing my daily battles in Modern rankeds when a set of rules came up that made me think of trying an unusual strategy. What if I put 5 cards with Camouflage on the back line? Then all the opposing attackers would have to focus on the one in front.
This would obviously require an excellent tanker to deal with a large amount of damage. I had no hesitation in choosing one of the best for this role, Grimbardun Smith.
Although he doesn't have any attack, I made him have it thanks to Moxian Rebel, which provides his offensive attributes to those who don't and are adjacent to him.
Another who was able to attack was Scavo Hireling, who with his ability to regenerate some armor each round, would help protect my tanker even more.
I also added the Doctor Blight and the Gobson Bomber to make my team look good offensively.

I also put in Venator Kinjo, who was there more as a support, providing some offensive skills for my team.
Last but not least, the summoner. I chose none other than Eternal Tofu. His ability to provide excellent attributes and support skills would be perfect for making the team strong.
My opponent chose him too, but his strategy was much more offensive, with 3 very powerful Meeles, two of which were immune to the reflect provided by Tofu, due to Fizbo providing them with Reflection Shield.
I didn't know what to expect from the battle, I just started it to see what would happen.
At the end of the first round, Grimbardun was close to being eliminated. However, round 2 ended up completely changing the course of the battle, with two quick eliminations on the opposing team, one of which was a lethal 9-point attack from my Gobson Bomber against the opponent's Venka.
With that, the duel could be considered practically over, since the main enemy attacker had been eliminated.

This type of strategy can be interesting when you expect the opponent to come up with monsters that attack the back line, but you don't want to put any of your allies in those positions, as they might not do so and focus all their damage on the front line. This way, you guarantee that almost all attacks will be directed at your tanker, without the need to use the summoner Lily Shieldpaw, which can't always be used because it's Dragon.
And as there are many neutral cards with the Camouflage ability, you have enormous versatility, as you can use the most diverse summoners for the most diverse occasions.

Meu adversário o escolheu também, porém sua estratégia foi muito mais ofensiva, com 3 Meeles muito poderosos, sendo dois deles imune ao reflete fornecido pelo Tofu, por conta do Fizbo que os forneceu Reflection Shield.
Eu não sabia o que esperar da batalha, apenas a iniciei para ver o que aconteceria.
Ao final da primeira rodada, o Grimbardun estava próximo de ser eliminado. Porém, a rodada 2 acabou mudando completamente o rumo da batalha, com duas rápidas eliminações sobre o time adversário, sendo uma delas um ataque letal de 9 pontos de meu Gobson Bomber contra a Venka do adversário.
Com isso, o duelo já poderia se considerar praticamente definido, já que o principal atacante inimigo havia sido eliminado.

Esse tipo de estratégia pode ser interessante quando vocẽ espera que o oponente venha com monstros que atacam a linha de trás, mas você não quer colocar nenhum de seus aliados nessas posições, pois ele pode não fazer isso e focar todo o dano na linha frontal. Dessa forma, você garante que quase todos os ataques serão direcionados ao seu tanker, sem a necessidade de utilizar a invocadora Lily Shieldpaw, que nem sempre pode ser usada por ser do elemento Dragão.

Bzzzrrr! Eu adorei essa estratégia de "Camouflage"! Parece muito bacana usar essas habilidades para confundir o adversário. E escolher o Grimbardun Smith como tanker é uma ótima escolha! Após ler o post, eu não posso esperar para testar essa estratégia em minhas próprias batalhas. Buuuuz!
