Hello Splinterlands Summoners! Tomorrow is end of season and the last season in 2024. I'm currently grinding today to earn more Glints and collect some juicy rewards. Today I have just unlocked Gold I and got some nice rewards from chests.

Among the rewards are some copies of Shock Trooper, an epic card. I can now upgrade this card to level 3.

On the other hand, I don't really like this card so much. This is because of his cursed ability, Electrified. Incidentally, one of my favorite battles today features this card. Let's get into it.

Favorite Battles of the Day

Battle 1 - Enemy's Shock Trooper Help Me Win the Battle

In this battle, the ruleset was Wands Out and Even Stevens. I didn't pick the Shock Trooper in this battle even though he deals a lot of damage. I chose the Venari Spellsmith instead. As you can see in this battle, the enemy's Shock Trooper decimated his own team because of his Electrified (dis)ability. For this reason, I only use him in Back to Basics ruleset where I can take full advantage of his damage potential without any drawbacks.

Battle 2 - Winning Against a Stronger Opponent

One of the most satisfying moments in Splinterlands is when you win against stronger opponents. I don't have to spend to much to be competitive in the league I play in. In this battle I used mostly reward cards while my opponent's cards were all maxed out. His Cryptic, Raa and Endura Brune are beasts. They counter the Shield and Speed buffs of my Kelya. The Expose ability from Cryptic also removed my Reflection Shield, Void and Forcefield. On the other hand, my melee units deal higher damage. Commander Slade, Deep Lurker and Kulu Mastermind all deal 4 melee damage. Once his tank was eliminated, it was an easy battle for me to win.

Battle 3 - Reverse Speed and Explosive Weaponry

In this battle, the ruleset was Reverse Speed and Explosive Weaponry. My opponent helped me by slowing my units with his Baakjira. This gave me the opportunity to attack first which is deadly since all units have the Blast ability. I was also able to take out his Coastal Sentry and Baakjira quickly. This gave me a huge advantage and won the battle easily.
