Overview
The new Weekly ruleset Challenge is an amazing twist that I am enjoying so far and I hope there will be twists like that in the future to keep this Challenge's fresh. 😁
This week the ruleset is the Super Sneak, which means that all melee units gain the Sneak ability.
Tips:
The Demoralize ability will be super good against a melee heavy team. 😁
The upcoming Battle ruleset
Ruleset | Description |
---|---|
Counterspell | All Monsters have the Magic Reflect ability. |
Super Sneak | All Melee attack Monsters have the Sneak ability. |
The mana cap for my next battle is 22, which is not much, so it was important to choose key monsters in this battle. The Counterspell ruleset helped a bit for the Super Sneak ruleset, because all the monster will reflect some of the magic damage back to their attackers, so it was almost pointless to bring any of those. Instead it is always the best bet to pick some decent melee attack monster and try to take advantage of the Super Sneak ruleset.
If you follow this strategy do not forget to protect your backline heavily, because most of the damge will arrive there! 😁
My lineup
Lux Vega is a promo card, so it is not possible to acquire her unless you buy her from the market. She is an amazing all around Summoner, because she cost 5 mana and she gives +1 speed, armor and health to all of her monsters. Her most important feature is that she is a Neutral card, so all the Splinters will be able to use her except the Dragon Splinter. 🤫 | |
The Diemonshark cost 8 mana, which is quite a lot, but in return he has a lot of speed, armor and health. Sadly he doesn't have any defensive capabilities apart from his high speed, but he has a lot of attack damage in exchange, which will be further boosted if he is damaged using his Enrage ability. He will be able to Retaliate the incoming melee attacks if he manages to trigger that ability, which means he will get an extra free attack back to their attacker. The trigger chance will be 50%. 😊 | |
The Pelacor Bandit is one of my favorite reward monster, because he has a lot of speed and the Flying ability, which will make him to dodge a lot of incoming attacks, which is much better than having any armor with lower speed. 🤗 | |
I used Igor Darkspear as a low mana cost ranged damage dealer who has the ability to Stun his enemies. If he manages to trigger that Stun those monsters will skip their next round completely. 😜 | |
The Uraeus cost only 3 mana and his ability is Sneak, which makes him to attack the last monster from the enemy team. He also has the Poison ability, which means that he will damage two extra damage at the end of every round if he manages to Poison his target, which has a 50% chance! 😊 | |
The Torrent Fiend is just a backline protector in case my opponent would bring something big to attack my backline directly. 😎 | |
The Chaos Agent cost only one mana, so he is an easy fit in any team, but his weakness is that he doesn't have any attack at all, so his main purpose will be to dodge and block few attacks from the enemy Sneak attack monsters if they will bring any. 😆 |
The Battle
My opponent brought Tarsa, because he wanted to take advantage of her +1 melee and health bonus, which is perfect in the Super Sneak ruleset if you bring a melee heavy team. 😇
They had a very strong Melee attack team and most of them had 4 or more attack damage, so they easily killed my last two 'decoy' monster in the first round.
The second round started killing their Xenith Monk, which is amazing because he had the self Heal ability, but I also lost my Uraeus just before the turn finished.
It was crucial that in the third round my Bandit finally killed their super quick Exploding Rats, because his Blast damage was to powerful and I even lost my Igor Darkspear.
At the end of the third round my Diemonshark attacked their Tusk the Wide killing him as well and he got an extra attack thanks to his Trample ability, which also killed their Scorch Fiend as well.
In the fourth round my team killed another of their monster who had no attack and my Diemonshark activated his Trample again to kill their last monster and won the battle for me. 🤗
Battle Result
Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
My strategy was to try to block as much damage possible with my 'decays' and to take advantage of the Diemonshark, because when he is Enraged he became quite powerful. Luckily it worked a bit different, because my opponent didn't bring huge health monsters and they didn't really had any armor to block any incoming attacks. 💪
