Overview
The new Weekly ruleset Challenge is an amazing twist that I am enjoying so far and I hope there will be twists like that in the future to keep this Challenge's fresh. 😁
This week the ruleset is the Reverse Speed, which means that units with lower speeds will attack before units with higher speeds. Attack Accuracy based on speed will also be reversed. 😉
Tips:
- Units with Bloodlust will increase speed after killing a unit.
- Avoid using Slow as this will help your opponent.
The upcoming Battle ruleset
Ruleset | Description |
---|---|
Reverse Speed | Monsters with the lowest Speed attack first and have the highest chance of evading attacks. |
The mana cap for my next battle is 14, which means that I need to be careful what to choose, because this mana cap is not much to choose a lot of legendaries or monsters with high mana cost.
I had to pick a Splinter that has a lot of Slow monsters and that is why I picked the Death monsters, because they are strong, but also Slow creatures, which is quite handy for this battle. 😉
My lineup
Thaddeus Brood is one of my favorite Summoner from the Chaos Legion set besides Kelya and the Obsidian. He is a de-buffer, which means that he will reduce the Magic attack and Health to all of the enemy monsters for only four mana. 😊 | |
Whenever I play in a low mana battle I hire at least a Level 5 Summoner in order to use the Level 5 Cursed Windeku, because this monster is quite an annoying one for my opponent. He has one of the two best abilities in the game, which is the Thorns (When hit with a Melee attack, does damage back to the attacker) and the Heal ability. (Restores a portion of the Monster's health each round). The combination of these two abilities makes this monster a nightmare for my enemy monsters as it is quite hard to deal with him without huge and focus damage on him. 😋 | |
The Corpse Fiend is just a mini tank in case my Cursed Windeku would die somehow and this little mosnter will be able to block one or two attack before he would perish. That time maybe enough for my Ranged attack dőamage deaers to finish off the enemy. 😊 | |
The Weirding Warrior is quite weak on its own, but he is a low cost damage dealer, which is perfect in a low mana cap battle or if not much mana left to setup a full team. Costing only two mana and having two damage, with the Shatter ability is amazing as long as my opponent doesn't have any creature with Snipe or Sneak ability to kill him quick. 😏 | |
The Xenith Archer cost only 2 mana and she has two Ranged attack damage, which is amazing. Hopefully my opponent is not going to bring any Sneak attack monster to kill her quick. 🤞 |
The Battle
My opponent brought the Obsidian who has a lot of excellent low monster with low speed and she will give them +1 magic attack as well for only four mana.
The strategy of my opponent was to bring the Moxian Rebel in the middle of his backline and two monster around him who doesn't have any attack, so they will be utilizing the Weapon Training ability from the Rebel and further boost that with +1 magic using the Obsidian Summoner. That is a pretty solid setup, but luckily I brought my sweet little Thaddius.
Almost all of her monsters were slower than mines, which means they will attack first, so in the first round their Hill Giant attack first and luckily the Thorns damage on my Windeku reflected two attack damage back to him.
Even though they had three magic attack monsters their magic attack was reduced, so they couldn't kill my Cursed Windeku, but he killed their Hill Giant at the end of the first round.
The Heal on my Windeku worked perfectly and the enemy attacks dealt three damage on him, which was not enough to kill him and he managed to heal that back in the second round and on top of that to make it worse for them they have lost their Lurking Puffer.
Only two monsters left in their team and they got only one Health with almost no damage,s o it was easy to kill them for my team and secure the victory! 😇
Battle Result
Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
My strategy was to bring one of the strongest low mana tank in the game who has self sustain abilities and he is a nightmare against any other melee attack monsters. Only the magic attack would be strong enough to finish him off, but Thaddius made that much easier for me, because countering their magic attack by one helped him a lot and made him an invincible tank in this game. 💪
