The spreading blight on the continent of Praetoria twisted both the land and its people.
Plants and animals were the first to become corrupted. Fungus sprouted from vegetation and gave them sentience. Animals grew extra limbs, heads, and grew to extraordinary sizes.
Then the people fell ill. Some thought it was from the plague brought about by Doctor Blight. Others thought perhaps it was from the poisonous gases that seeped from the fissures near the volcano.
Whatever it was, those who survived the sickness were changed. They mutated, grew stronger, and were filled with an uncontrollable rage. Some were unable to control that rage and went on murderous rampages. Others fought to maintain their sanity long enough to protect their family, friends, and neighbors from themselves. They fled into the Jade Thicket, where they became as feral as the wild animals of the continent.
The people of Praetoria referred to them as Radiated Brutes.
Jax no longer cared for cooked meat or clean water. He preferred his meals to be raw and wriggling.
If I want to be completely honest I have never used the Radiated Brute before and I am playing the game for six month already. I never considered his stat very good to be played. The reach ability is pretty good, but there is a much better alternative, which is Fineas Rage.
The stats of the Radiated Brute at Level 1 is quite horrible. The 2 attack is good, but the low speed and small amount of HP makes him difficult to hit anybody unless you are playing him in the Reverse Speed ruleset.
The Reach ability allows him to attack from the second position on the team. As he levels up the speed gets better and on Level 6 he is getting Enrage, which will increase his Melee attack and Speed when damaged. The said truth for me is that on Level 1 unfortunately it is not worth to play him.

Tarsa
Tarsa is a very powerful summoner and comes as a starter card for everyone. She gives +1 Melee attack and + 1 Health to all of her creatures. She is a very solid choice especially in a ruleset where there is only melee creatures or the ranged and magic attacks are banned.
Tarsa cost 4 mana and in a low mana fight like mine with only 14, Tarsa's power could be lethal to the enemy, because the players usually choosing the cheaper summoners, which cost only 3 mana.
The Cerberus is a perfect tank in any low mana fight, because it costs only 4 mana and he has an excellent ability, which is the Heal. 👍 (It Restores a portion of the Monster's health each round.) Thanks to Tarsa the Cerberus receives +1 melee and +1 health and it will allows him to outlast any kind of threat from the opponent.
Usually I wouldn't pick him as it is quite weak for me, but I had to use it to this challenge and it turns out great. He dealt a whooping 9 damage in this low mana matchup, which turned the tide to our favor.
I don't think I could win this battle without him and for celebrating that I would like to hide a small giveaway in this post. Whoever comments their username will participate in a raffle, when this post pays out. The prize is what else would be than a Radiated Brute. 😉
The two Radiated brothers just enough to secure a victory for me. I included the Scorcher as a last resort to hit the enemy if everything falls or if the enemy has got a Sneaker it will soak some damage before they will reach to my Radiated Brute.
Unfortunately, I do not own the famous Furious Chicken, but it is an auto-rent for me. The Chicken is so powerful, because it allows our team to soak up 1 or 2 damage before the enemy could reach to my backline. There is only one card is better than a Furious Chicken is the Golden* version of it. 🤑
When I saw the enemy team I said to myself that this is my setup what I normally pick in a low mana fight. The Djinn Chwala is a very powerful card for only 8 mana, because it has Thorns, which does damage back to the attacker if they were hit. The only weak point of him if you pick magic attack to kill him quickly.
So I was convinced that this battle is over (as I have only melee hitters), before it has started. The Cerebrus did a very good job tanking the Djinn and the battle was like the battle between David and Goliath. 😇 Luckily the Djinn missed in the most crucial moment, which allows my team to recover and deal a killing blow on him to secure the win.
According to the Splinterlands Tool I had only 17% chance of winning, but that miss turned the tide to my favor. 😉
I was very happy for the win especially, because I did it with an underrated card, which might change my perspective about it. 😊
