They say there is nothing more beautiful than a Regal Peryton. They prefer to live in the mountains all across the Splinterlands, rarely seen by others. When they soar through the skies, the sunlight catches through their wings and creates rainbows underneath them. Regal Perytons are highly intelligent and consider themselves noble guardians of the natural world, using their magic í to help others.

The Earth Splinter is my second favorite amongst the other Splinters, because the Earth is so versatile like the Water deck. They have the answer to any kind of threat. They have the ability to heal, thorn (damage back to the attacker) or buff the strongest attack type in the game, which is the magic.

It is not cheap to rent the cards if you want to be competitive over Silver league using the Earth Splitner, but it is well worth the price, because it is very difficult to prepare a team against them. 😉

This week's battle challenge features the Regal Peryton, so let's see his stats and abilities on all levels.

The Regal Peryton is a five mana cost monster within the Earth Splinter. He is a magic* 🔮 attack creature and it is worth to rent him at least on 3, because he will get an extra magic attack on that level.

He has only one ability from level one, which is flying. (Has an increased chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Monsters who do not have the Flying ability. This ability provides him a +25% chance to evade an incoming melee or ranged attack.)

Usually my tactic is to put him in the second position making him an off-tank to evade some attacks from his enemies thanks to his high speed and flying. 😇

Ruleset	Description
Silenced Summoners	Summoners do not give any stat buffs or debuffs or grant/use any abilities.
Earthquake	Non-flying Monsters take 2 Melee damage at the end of each round.

Summoner
Wizard of Eastwood

To be honest I never used the Wizard of Eastwood before, maybe only few times when I was starting to play Splinterlands a year ago. This time I have decided to try him out, because it is a much cheaper alternative to get a high leveled summoner than the Obsidian. Also almost everyone is playing with the Obsidian, so this might be a good surprise to my opponents. 😁

The Wizard of Eastwood ability is to reduce the armor 🛡 from all of the enemy monsters by two. This would makes him particularly strong against Kelya who relies a lot on their +1 armor.

Decoy
Fungus Fiend

The ruleset was Earthquake, so I picked some flying creature to my side and I had to stall the time a little bit in the hope that my opponent would damage more from the ruleset if he doesn't bring any monster with flying ability.

That is why I brought the Fungus Fiend just to take one incoming attack giving more time to my Mercenary and Peryton. 😊

Golden Decoy and Thorner
Mycelic Morphoid

I used the Mycelic Morphoid for the same reason as the Fungus Fiend, but this little guy has a surprise in his sleeves, because he has the Thorn ability. (When hit with a Melee attack, does damage back to the attacker.)

Usually I rent him in the golden version as well as it is quite cheap and would give me +10% income from a winning battle. 🤑

Main Tank
Pelacor Mercenary

The Pelacor Mercenary is a flying creature and such he is completely immune to the Earthquake ruleset, which gives him an advantage over his enemy monsters. On level 6 he receives the Heal ability, which will restore a portion of his health ❤️ in each round.

Thanks to his Heal ability he is one of the best tank in the Earth deck. 😉

Damage Dealer
Regal Peryton

The Regal Peryton is a flying creature as well, which makes him the perfect choice into the Earthquake ruleset. He has high speed, which allows him to evade (with a great chance) an incoming melee ⚔️ or ranged 🏹 attack targeting him. He is great with the Obsidian to benefit from the +1 magic attack buff, but in this ruleset, where the summoners were silenced it doesn't really mattered much. 😁

Low-Cost Damage Dealer
Acid Shooter

This battle was a low mana battle and I had only two mana left to fill up my team. I have decided to use the Acid Shooter even though he doesn't fly, because my plan was to try to hit some of my opponent backliner to give them a little surprise. 😇

In this battle my opponent brought a higher level summoner than me, but luckily there was Silenced Summoners ruleset, so my summoner turned out stronger than his, because mine was cheaper. In a low mana cap battle every mana counts.

Luckily my opponent didn't prepare himself against the Earthquake ruleset entirely. He took the Cursed Windeku, which is an excellent monster in general, but unfortunately he didn't fly. 😁

His Soul Strangler has a huge ranged 🏹 damage, but he is not flying either, so I just had to wait and survive till he dies by the Earthquake. 😇

In round 3 he lost two of his monsters thanks to the Earthquake and even though the Riftwing is flying he doesn't have any damage only the Backfire ability, which is not enough against a monster with Heal ability. 😉
