There are those who may think the Realm of Silence is a place of deep dark caverns. That could not be further from the truth. It is a region like any other in the Splinterlands that is full of homes, cities, and cultures. There are even universities that specialize in the study of magic, music, and geography. One such underground species that excels in academia are the Venari.
They created the Institute of Application that acts as a center of study for spells and tinkering. Those who wish to become fluent in spellcasting train to become Spellsmiths: masters of creating and using spells. It is through this knowledge they research and experiment with magic in order to unlock new ways to harness mana and the elemental forces.
A Venari Spellsmith is so dedicated to the art of spellcasting that magic itself became a part of them. While they themselves can manipulate magic to damage foes, magic burns through their veins. Upon death the radiating Mana explodes from their bodies, harming everyone around the Venari.
Another week and another new Share Your Battle Challenge and this time it is the Venari Spellsmith. The Venari family is so interesting and quite powerful that is very difficult to neglect them. Some of them are my all time favourite (Wavesmith, Bonesmith, Seedsmith), but the Venari Spellsmith was not one of them ... until now! 😊
The Venari Spellsmith like the rest of his family is a low cost (costing only 4 mana) and a neutral creature, which is an easy fit into any team. He has the Dispel ability from Level 1, which means when this monster hit an enemy, it clears all positive status effects on that enemy. This ability is not that strong, but on Level 4 he gets the Amplifiy, which increases Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns damage to all enemy monsters by 1. 😁
In a team with a lot of reflect this is quite powerful, but one of my favourite ability is Redemption, which means that when this Monster dies, it does 1 damage to all enemy monsters. Unfortunately he gets this ability on his final Level and it is quite far from my League where I usually play. 😇

Obsidian
The Obsidian is one of the best summoner in the game, because Magic 🔮 attacks are amazing and also strong. Since the League separated into Wild and Modern I am pushing myself in Modern format. I used to play a lot with Alric Stormbringer, so playing with Mages are not far from me.
It is possible to counter her, but it takes a lot of effort and if the enemy brings something else than the Obsidian it will surely lose the battle. 😂
Failed Summoner
Usually I play the Failed Summoner as a bait and soak few attacks, before he dies, because he cost only 2 mana. He has the Magic Reflect ability (When hit with Magic damage, does reduced Magic damage back to the attacker), which combined with the Amplifiy ability from the Venari Spellsmith could cause a lot of damage, but in this fight I had no luck 🍀, because my opponent didn't bring any Magic 🔮 attack creatures still he managed to soak 3 attacks. 😊
Hill Giant
In the Little League ruleset I love to use the Hill Giant, because he has 2 Melee ⚔️ attack and big Health ❤️ pool, which comes very handy in this ruleset, where you need to play with monsters under or equal to 4 mana. I managed to rent a golden foil version of him to boost my rewards with 10% from a winning battle. 🤑
Venari Spellsmith
On its own the Venari Spellsmith has only 1 Magic 🔮 attack, but with the help of the Obsidian it increases it to 2. Without a proper protection against it my Magic attack creatures could kill my opponent with ease. 😊
Queen Mycelia
I was matched against Tarsa and my opponent didn't bring any Magic 🔮 att8ack creatures, so the Protect ability (All friendly Monsters gain +2 Armor) from Queen Mycelia was a huge advantage to my favor in order to secure a win for me. 😄 She also has the Amplifiy ability, but it was totally useless in this battle.
Elven Mystic
It is quite expensive to rent a Level 4 Elven Mystic these days, but if you managed to get one it might be a game changer in a battle, where the enemy brings Obsidian or just some powerful Magic creature. Her most important ability, which she acquires on Level 4 is the Silence, which will reduceing the Magic Attack of all enemy Monsters by one. 😱
Djinn Biljka
The Djinn Biljka has 3 Magic 🔮 attack, which is a lot for 3 mana and he is untargetable thanks to his Camouflage ability. (This Monster cannot be targeted for attacks unless it's in the first position.)
Recently I started to use him a lot even in other rulesets, because of his higher attack damage and cheap mana cost. 😉
The Little League ruleset is not my favorite as it limits the amount of creature that I can choose and they are not the strong ones either. My opponent built a pretty solid team and if I wouldn't bring a Magic 🔮 team I would surely lose this battle.
Queen Mycelia and her protection gave us a huge advantage and our Magic damage went through them like hot knife through butter. 😁
It was a pretty simple Victory and I wouldn't change much in my setup and if the opponent didn't prepare against Magic damage they would simply just lose. 😎
