This week I brought a battle, where my dear Kitty had to face against another Dragon Summoenr in a strange battle where only Ranged attack monsters were allowed, so it will be interesting to see who is going to prevail over each other! π

The mana cap was 99 again, which is my all time favorite, because I will be allowed to use any monster and strategy I would like especially in rulesets where the available monster pool if limited. π
The Going the Distance ruleset is removing most of the monsters from the pool, because there will be only Ranged attack monsters will be available throughout this battle, so it will be important to increase or decrease the Ranged attack of the monsters with the Summoners. π
The Heavy Hitters ruleset is not that important and if you want to take advantage of that you would need a monster with the Stun ability, because the monster with the Knock Out ability will deal double damage against a monster who has been Stunned. π
Byzantine Kitty
The Byzantine Kitty is an Untamed Summoner and such she is quite powerful. Her main abilities are to increase the Speed of all of her friendly monsters by two, which will make her monsters to attack first and the dodge more incoming attacks. She also gives the True Strike ability to his monsters, which will allows her monsters to hit their target at a 100% chance, but her most important ability is that she is able to Heal the first monster in her team at the beginning of every round. π
The Vigilator
I do not use him often, but The Vigilator is one of the best tank for this ruleset, because he counts as a Ranged attack monster even though he has +2 Melee attack, so he will be able to attack with his Melee attack from the first position.
He also has another amazing ability, which will increase his damage significantly and that is the Double Strike, which means (as the name suggest it) he will attack twice in every round. π
Cornealus
Usually I use my Cornealus at the back of my backline, but in this case I had to use a tank to protect my other monsters behind him. He counts as a tank, because he has high Health and the self Heal ability, which will help him a lot to sustain as much damage as possible. π
Ash Mirage
I picked the Fire Splinter next to my Dragon monsters solely, because of the Ash Mirage. His most important ability, which is essential in this battle is his Headwinds, which will reduce all the Ranged attack of the enemy monsters by one. Without him I do not think there would be any chance to win this battle! π
Lava Launcher
Usually the Lava Launcher has a lot of damage, but my opponent picked too much monsters and even the Summoner who is able to reduce the Ranged attack of my monsters rendering the Ranged attack of my Lava Launcher to only one.
The only good thing about him is that he has the Close Range ability allowing him to attack from the first position as well and he has quite a lot of Armor. π€
Scale Doctor
There was not much other choice to pick up for this battle rather than the Scale Doctor who also has only one Ranged attack, but the enemy team reduced too much Ranged attack on my team anyway, so at least I took advantage of his Strengthen ability, which increased the Health of my monsters by one. π
Rush Townsend
Rush Townsend naturally has quite a lot of Ranged attack damage, but in this battle he was reduced to two as well, but at least he has the Affliction ability, which will disable the Heal capability of his target. The proc rate is 50%, so he need a bit luck there to activate it!
He also has the Ambush ability as well, which means that he will get an extra free attack at the beginning of the first round. π
My opponent brought Quix the Devious as a Summoner, because he is one of the best Summoner in the Going the Distance ruleset as his power if to reduce the Ranged attack and Speed of the enemy monsters by one. π
In the first round both team started attacking each other almost the same time, because both of our monsters were quite quick. Luckily my Vigilator had huge amount of extra damage and with the help of his team he managed to kill their Molten Ash Golem just before the first round finished. π
At the beginning of the second round The Vigilator received some Heal from Kitty and again with his double Melee attack my team quickly killed their Zyvax Vuul.
The third round he got another Heal and my team killed their Firecaller as well who increased all of the stats of their Lava Launcher by one using her Martyr ability. π΅
That buff made his Lava Launcher to deal four damage on my Vigilator who died against that just before the third round ended.
My team lost quite a lot of damage and it took two full rounds to kill their Lava Launcher while my Cornealus sustained all the damage from the enemy team with his and Kitty's Heal. πͺ
As soon as they lost their Lava Launcher they lacked to deal enough damage to my Cornealus and my team easily finished the last two monster off from the enemy team and won the battle for me! π

Good battle, I also like this type of battle with 99 mana since you can use many combinations of cards, Kitty's summoner is powerful and cute at the same time
