Overview
Today I brought a battle where I will try to survive as long as possible, because one of the ruleset will damage all the monsters on the battlefield constantly. 😜
My upcoming Battle ruleset(s)
Ruleset | Description |
---|---|
Noxious Fumes | All Monsters start the battle Poisoned. |
Reverse Speed | Monsters with the lowest Speed attack first and have the highest chance of evading attacks. |
Melee Mayhem | Melee attack Monsters can attack from any position. |
The mana cap for my next battle is 56, which is more than enough for my liking and I will be able to use whatever monster that I want. The Noxious Fumes ruleset will Posion all the monsters on the battlefield and they will take 2 damage at the end of every round unless they have the Immunity ability or have a monster with the Cleanse ability. 🤗
The Reverse Speed ruleset is a tricky one and it will make the lowest monsters to attack first and they will have the upper hand over the monsters with higher speed.
I like the Melee Mayhem ruleset very much, because it helps to use the Melee attack monster anywhere in my lineup, because they ill be able to attack from there.
My lineup
Octavia Shadowmeld is a Death Summoner and she gives +1 health to all of her monsters. Her second ability is that she is able to use one Gladiator monster in her lineup. 😇 | |
Usut has a pretty big health and his mana cost is quite pricey as well. He is not a Gladiator monster, but he has the Bloodlust ability to increase his own stats by one in case he kills a monster. 💪 | |
Kothripus Bayne is a melee attack monster, but more importantly as a Gladiator monster he has the Bloodlust ability, which means if he manages to kill his target he will increase all of his stats by one permanently. 😆 | |
The Harklaw is always my number one choice in the Noxious Fumes ruleset, because he has the Immunity ability. He also has the Demoralize ability, which will reduce the melee attack of the enemy monsters by one until the Harklaw is alive. 😊 | |
The Drybone Raider is an excellent choice for this battle, because he has two different (*one ranged and one melee) attacks, but more importantly he also has the Double Strike ability, which will allow the Raider to attack four times per round in this battle. 😋 | |
The Ravenhood Warden cost only four mana and he is a ranged attack monster. He has the Protect ability, which means that he will provide +2 Armor to all of his friendly monsters. 🤫 | |
Usually the Undead Rex is not the most common monster in the end of the lineup, but thanks to the Melee Mayhem ruleset he will be able to attack from there with his huge melee damage. 👍 |
The Battle
My opponent brought Tarsa, who is a Fire Splinter Summoner and she is quite perfect for this battle, because she will increase the health and melee attack to all of her monsters. 😆
Sadly in the first round I have lost my Usut, but at least he managed to attack once thanks to the Reverse Speed ruleset. By the end of the first round my team also managed to kill their Alvar and my Raider also attacked three times their new tank.
I have a lot of slow monster, so they attacked first and they killed their Tusk the Wild at the beginning of the second round, but I also lost my Kothripus Bayne as well. It was quite difficult to hit their third tank, which was Grum Flameblade, because he had only one speed.
The Poison killed my Warden and I have lost the +2 Armor from him. In the third round my Harklaw took quite a lot of damage and his Shield ability was a huge help to mitigate a lot of damage. My Raider killed their Disintegrator with his loads of attack.
In the fourth round my opponent monsters attacked first and they quickly killed my Harklaw, but at least my Raider tokk revenge on him and took out their Forgotten One.
The Poison again killed my Raider and only two monster left on the battlefield. I was super lucky, because both of our monsters were on one health and for some reason my Rex attacked first and killed his target, which made me won this battle. 🤩
Battle Result
Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
It is always difficult to play with these rulesets, because the continous Poison damage is a huge pain and on top of that all of the melee attack monsters were able to attack from the backline, which was quite a lot of damage. Luckily at the end my monster was quicker and that alone decided the fate of this battle. 😇
