This week I brought a battle, where there was only one Splinter available, so it was important to solve the riddle how to match up against a mirror team where there is a very big chance that your opponent will bring the same setup like you. π

The mana cap was 45, which is quite good to pick few key monsters, because the most difficult ruleset in this battle was the Up Close and Personal, which means that only Melee attack monsters were available to use. TThere are few tricks in the ruleset such as picking a monster with two different kind of attack, so they will still be able to attack or bring monsters with the Demoralize ability to reduce the Melee attack of the enemy monsters. π
The Healed Out ruleset doesn't make a huge difference in this battle , because most of the Melee attack monsters are unable to Heal others or themselves.
The Are You Not Entertained? ruleset is quite good, because I will be able to use monsters with the Bloodlust ability, which is one of the strongest ability in the game. π
Franz Ruffmane
Franz Ruffmane is a Splinter that has the power to use one Gladiator monster in the battle, which has a very strong ability and that is the Bloodlust ability. He also gives +1 Armor to all of his monsters, which means that a monster with even one Armor piece will be able to block one incoming Melee attack, which is amazing. π
Drybone Barbarian
The Drybone Barbarian is an excellent main tank. Not because he has a lot of defensive abilities apart from his big Health, but because he has the Enrage and Retaliate ability, so if he is damaged he will increase his own stats by 50% and might be able to get a free attack if he gets attacked. π
Marisol Contuma
Marisol Contuma is a Gladiator monster and such he has the Bloodlust ability, but on top of that he has high Speed, Health, but more importantly he has the Reach ability, which means that he will be able to attack from the second position. π
Tatiana Blayde
Tatiana Blayde is also a Gladiator monster, so if they manage to kill a monster they will increase their own stats by one. She also has the capability to attack with his Ranged attack, because she has two different kind of attacks. π€
Drybone Raider
The Drybone Raider has two different attacks like Tatiana, which means that I will be able to pick him for this fight as a Melee monster, but he also has Ranged attack as well, so he will be able to attack with his Ranged attack from my backline.
He also has the Double Strike ability, so he will be able to attack twice in every round, which is quite strong. π
Gargoya Scrapper
I used the Gargoya Scrapper as my second Backline Protector in case my opponent will bring some Sneak monsters. He cost low mana, and he will be able to block at least two attacks, which is good to protect my monsters from the back. π€
Soul Fiend
I used the Soul Fiend for the same purpose as my Gargoya Scarpper to protect my backline against the Sneak monsters and he cost zero mana, which is always easy to use. π
My opponent brought Franz Ruffmane as well as his Summoner, because there was only one Splinter available to paly and amongst the Life Splinters Franz is pretty good in a battle where only Melee attack monsters are available. His ability is to provide +1 Armor to his friendly monsters and to be able to use one additional Gladiator monster in this battle. π
In the first round my Barbarian retaliated two of the enemy attacks, which means that he got two free attack back to their attacker and even my backline protectors worked as I expected, because the enemy Sneakers started attacking my Soul Fiend who survived two attacks than died.
My Drybone Barbarian got some damaged, which meant that he was able to increase his stats by 50% thanks to his Enrage ability. In the second round he killed their Arkemis, but I also lost him as well against their Corsair Bosun.
Soon after that I lost my tank my Raider and Tatiana dealt a huge amount of damage to their Bosun, so my Marisol Contuma who had the Bloodlust ability managed to kill him and increase of all of his stats by one permanently.
In the next round the same thing happened and my Marisol killed their off-tank as well further increase his own stats.
Only three low budget monster left in the enemy team, which was a piece of cake to my Bloodlusted Marisol and his team to finish this battle and to secure the win. π
