This week I brought a battle, where I used one of my favorite Summoner of old times, because of his strength and versatility. He is a Fire Summoner and he resemblance a lot to cat and that is Yodin Zaku. Hope you will enjoy the battle like I did! 😇
I am playing Yodin Zaku in my battles whenever I can even though his mana cost is seven, which is qutie a lot for a Summoner, but he is coming from the Untamed era, which means he will provide three abilities or stats to his friendly monsters.
As I said already Yodin Zaku is one of my favorite summoner, because he is so powerful that it is very difficult to fight against him. He gives +1 Ranged attack and +1 Health to all of his monsters along with the Blast ability ! (This ability does additional damage to Monsters adjacent to the target Monster) 😁
Ruleset | Description |
---|---|
Aim True | Melee and Ranged attacks always hit their target. |
Keep Your Distance | Monsters with Melee attack may not be used in battles. |
Lost Legendaries | Legendary Monsters may not be used in battles. |
The mana cap was 48, which is more than enough to build a solid lineup and only the Water Splinter was banned, which is always good in the Keep Your Distance ruleset to get rid of their overpowered Magic attack monsters.
The Aim True ruleset is the perfect combination with my Ranged attack team led by Yodin, because they will always hit their target no matter the Speed difference or any ability that would make the enemy monsters to dodge my attacks. 😊
Thanks to the Keep Your Distance ruleset there would be no other Melee attack monster in the battle, so my backline will be safe against the enemy Sneak attack monsters. 😋
It is always a shame playing without any Legendaries, but using some of the beefy Epics might help a lot. 😁
Yodin Zaku
It is almost impossible to fight against Yodin and his Blast monsters, but there is one summoner who eats him for breakfast and that is Lir Deepswimmer. He is the perfect counter against Yodin, but if you want to fight him without Lir the best option is to prepare yourself well. 😁
Iidri Fyre
The Iidri Fyre will be my main tank for this game, because I wanted to avoid that my opponent would use some Snipe monsters to hit my backline and deal serious damage using their Blast abilities.
The Fyre has the Taunt ability, so all the enemy monsters had to attack her and my Molten Ash Golem behind him will sustain a lot of indirect Blast damage using his high Health.
Her only weakness is that she is not able to attack, but her high Health and Armor will compensate that. 😉
Molten Ash Golem
The Molten Ash Golem is an amazing Ranged attack monster, because he has huge Health, but more importantly the Close Range ability, which allows him to attack from the first position. His high Health will help him to sustain as much Blast damage as possible in order to protect his backline. 🤩
Lava Launcher
The Lava Launcher was a reward card in the past, which means that it was quite easy to acquire and he is an Epic card. He is one of my favorite monster from the Fire Splinter as long as the mana cap is over 30.
He has a lot of damage and Armor, but his Health is quite low, so it is important to keep him away from Magic attack monsters. He also has the Close Range ability, so better to keep him close to the first position in case he will fall in there. 😋
Firecaller
The Firecaller is also a reward card and it is quite a powerful one. She has quite a lot of damage, but her most important ability is the Martyr, because it will allow her to increase the stats of her adjacent monsters in case she dies. This is the kind of ability, which is easily able to increase the chance to win a game if you use it well. 😀
Ash Mirage
There was only two option, which strategy my opponent will choose and they either choose Ranged or Magic attack lineup. That is why I have brought the Ash Mirage to my side, because he has the Headwinds ability, which means that he will decrease the Ranged attack of the enemy monsters by one.
Even thought he was only Level one he had an amazing +3 Ranged damage with a quite good Speed as well. 😊
Djinn Inferni
The Djinn Inferni is my highest and only Magic damage attacker, which means that none of the enemy monsters are able to dodge his attacks in a battle without the Phase ability. His Health is very low, but his Giant Killer ability will makes him to deal double damage against monsters who cost more than 10 mana. 😜
My opponent brought the Immortalis, because I think he expected me to bring the Obsidian and that would be a perfect counter against her using his Void abilites on his monsters. Luckily I brought Yodin with Ranged attack monsters, so defense was worthless. 😅
My opponent monsters were a bit quicker than mines, so they attacked first and they all targeted my Iidri Fyre, which was exactly as I planned. He brought a similar monster at his front with the Taunt ability, so my monsters also attacked their tank, but luckily at least their indirect damage started to damage down their Gargoya Devil. 😊
His Gargoya didn't had a lot of Health, so he died quickly, but we lost our tank as well, because they had quite a lot of damage focused on my tank.
The Firecaller was the last monster in my team, so he attacked and killed their tank just before the first round finished.
Thanks to the Blast damage in the second round my team managed to kill all of their monsters and they secured the win for me. 😇
