Today we're going to see how long is the payback of buying or renting gold foils.
First of all, what is a gold foil card?
It is a variant card (golded) that benefit the owner in bonus in winning DEC, also it needs far less cards to increase own level.
Second, this is the average DEC rewards in each league, captured from my how much each league wins:
Having a gold foil while in a battle grants you 10% more DEC if you win.
Lets analyze one of my first rented cards:
The average price of this card is about 40 usd(10/13/21), doing some maths we can get how many games for the payback:
In bronze league, you'll have to play about 4400 games to payback this card, on silver the number of games down drasticaly to 1200~ games. Gold is about 500 games, diamond 300 games and in champion 240 games (remember that the diamond and champion dont have a large difference in DEC earnings)
Lets see another card:
The price is about 600 usd(wow).
Lets analyze the games for payback
WOW! 66700 GAMES FOR THE PAYBACK IN BRONZE! Silver is about 18000 games, gold 8000, diamond 5000 games and finally in champion you`ll need only 3600 games.
We can see how many games is necessary for paybacking 1 dollar (so you just need to multiply it for the price of the card that you're analyzing, lets see:
Payback 1usd in bronze requires about 110 games, silver about 30 games, in gold near 13 games, diamond 8 games and in champion youll need 6 games!
So, you'll just to multiply this values for your card gold foil value and see how many games youll need to play for the payback!
So... Renting is a good option? Lets see!
Venari costs about 17 DEC per day, lets see how many games for the payback of this 17 DEC:
In bronze you`ll need about 28 games for the payback (RIP capture rate), silver need 8 games, gold just 3, diamond 2 games and in diamond just one!
Keep in mind that you`ll have only 24 hours to complete the games for the payback
Finally, do it by yourself in renting too:
Multiply the value of renting your gold foil card by:
1.6 in bronze, 0.4 in silver, 0.2 in gold, 0.125 in diamond and 0.09 in champion!
(Example: Renting Pirate Captain for 4.2 DEC, my league is silver 1, so 4.2 * 0.4 = 1.7 (then 2 games!).
