What’s up my fellow Splinterlands players!
I hope all of you are enjoying this awesome weekend with your family and friends and also playing splinterlands in your daily free time as usual. For those who play this on a daily basis and seriously, I guess you all have finished playing for the Ranked season format, as there are only 2 hours left for this ongoing ranked season to end. So, whatever your goals are for this season, be it to reach a particular league tier or to secure a place in the champion leaderboard, I hope you have accomplished that goal already and are now waiting for the season to end. For me, I have also reached my goal by entering into the champ league and now waiting for the season to reset, so that I can claim my glint points. With another new season, we will all have another 2 weeks to climb up the trophy road and reach as further as we can on this game. But before that, let us enjoy this moment of calmness and then some draws opening with our season glint token rewards.
Moving forward, let me now come to the main topic of this post as today, I will be showcasing another awesome Rebellion card with you all. As you have already seen in the thumbnail above, today I will be talking about HALFLING REFUGEE. So, if you are interested, let’s jump in without any further ado.
Halfling Refugee
HALFLING REFUGEE is a monster type card that was introduced in this game with the launch of the latest Reward card set and it falls under the Rebellion edition. This monster belongs to the Neutral unit so you can easily get this card when choosing any element allowed by the ruleset. The best feature of this card is its mana cost which is just 1, so you can easily choose this small tank card in even the smallest mana limit matches. The attack type of this monster is Melee and it is an Epic type card, so you will require a total of 46 BCXs of cards to upgrade this card to max level. Apart from a very good attack with a decent speed and a large health bar, this card also comes with 2 abilities which I will be talking about below. Let us now take a further look at this card’s league wise stats and abilities to find out more.
BRONZE
At level 2, this monster card possessed 3 melee attack power at 3 speed with 6 health along with the Weary, one of the newest abilities in this game which it gets since its initial level. This ability applied exhaust with a 20% chance from round 1 onwards and increased the chance by 10% every next round and it goes up to 80%. If the ability Exhaust is applied, the monster will skip its round. So it is kind of a negative ability now, which explains why we are getting so many stats for just a 1 mana card.
SILVER
As this card reaches level 3, it receives the same stats as its previous level 3 melee attack power at 3 speed with 6 health. But gladly, it receives a very useful Ability called Heal at this level. With this ability, the monster can now heal back 1/3 of its max health every round.
GOLD
When you upgrade this card to level 5, its stats get increased even further as it receives an increased whooping 5 melee attack power at 3 speed with an increased 8 health along with those 2 abilities that I mentioned above. Though it does not get any new abilities, its highly increased stats especially its melee attack power will be very handy and useful in the front position.
DIAMOND / CHAMPION
Finally, when you upgrade this card to its max level of 6, it gets further increased stats as it now receives a more Powerful whooping 5 melee attack at 3 speed with 8 health along with those 2 abilities. Sadly it does not get any new abilities even at its max level, but its 5 melee attack with large health and Heal will be a good proxy for its Weary ability to use it in battles.
Battle Link
BATTLE STAT
This time I got a medium 30 mana limit match where only 2 elements were allowed - Death and Dragon. There were also 3 rulesets applied in this match - Up Close and Personal (only melee monsters can be used in this battle), Equaliser (all monsters will have equal and and same to the highest health monster in battle) and Equal Opportunity (all monsters will have the opportunity ability in this match). Now after looking at all the rules, I started thinking about a strategy and finally decided to use melee monsters in the match. As thought, I started building my lineup accordingly.
For this match, I first chose the Death legendary summoner Waka Spiritblade and then at the first defensive place of my lineup, I selected the Halfling Refugee followed by Uraeus, Corpse Fiend, Arkemis the Bear, Silent Sha-Vi, Dumacke Orc at the last position of my lineup. Anyway, when both the lineups were revealed, I saw that my opponent had chosen the legendary Dragon summoner Akane with Death monsters and at the first position of his lineup, he chose the Possessed Puppet followed by Kei, Arachne Thug, Vruz, Night Stalker and the Corpse Fiend at the end position.
As the battle began, all the heavy melee hitters started attacking my Halfling Refugee and after defending 2 big attacks, it finally died from the attack of Arachne Thug, and the Thug then attacked my Uraeus again. The Thug again attacked and this time killed my Uraeus and ten attacked my Fiend again. The Dumacke Orc then attacked and killed the enemy Corpse Fiend, followed by the possessed Puppet who killed down my Fiend this time. My Orc finally woke up and killed the enemy Possessed Puppet and then, my Sha-Vi killed the Night Stalker. Next, my Xha-Vi and killed down an enemy, the Vruz this time and followed by my Orc who killed down the Kei. The only monster left on the opponent's lineup was the Thug and I took care of it as well and won this match finally and got myself some more SPS and Glint rewards.
