What’s up my fellow Splinterlands players!
I hope all of you are doing well and waiting for the upcoming weekend to enjoy with your loved ones. Now if you are a splinterlands player like me and have been playing the ongoing tanked season, then I hope that all of you have already reached your goals for this season, as the season timer has already hit zero by the time I am writing this post and Battles are now locked until the start of next season. Soon our hard-earned trophy rating will get reset and depending upon your SPS stake, matched won and which league tier you were playing throughout the season, you will receive your share or Glint token rewards as soon as the fresh new ranked season begins. Now for me, as usual, I was chasing the same goal of reaching the Champion league and this season also, I have reached my goal and finished playing the season with 2,820 trophies, so my trophy rating will be reset down to Diamond league and I will be starting again from Diamond II tier. Right now I am waiting for my Glint token rewards so that I can buy some more reward cards from the in-game reward shop and let’s see if I can pull any good gold foils or legendary cards this time.
Moving forward, let me now come to the main topic of this post as today, I will be talking about another amazing splinterlands card with you all. As you have already seen in the thumbnail above, today I will be showcasing the ISGALD VORST, a ferocious Gladiator card with you all. So, if you are interested, let’s take a leap of faith without any further ado.
ISGALD VORST
ISGALD VORST is a special monster type card that comes under the rare Gladiator type cards and this card can only be obtained by opening Gladius packs, which can only be bought via merit tokens that can be earned only by playing the game. Now, this card is very rare to get and only long-term players who play this game on a daily basis and collect merit tokens can upgrade this card to a high level. Anyway, this monster belongs to the Water element and its attack type is melee. It costs 5 mana to be used in battles, so you can easily select this card in your lineup when playing medium to high mana limit battles, or sometimes in small mana ones too, depending upon the scenario. By rarity, it is a common type of card, so you will need a total of 400 BCXs of cards in order to upgrade this monster to its maximum level. Now, apart from a large melee attack power at high speed with a good combo of armour and health, this monster also comes with a combo of 3 very useful abilities which I will be talking about later in this post. Let us now take a further into this card’s league-wise stats and abilities below to find out more.
BRONZE
At level 3, this monster card possesses 3 melee attack power at 4 speed with 3 armour and 4 health along with 2 abilities - Bloodlust and Opportunity, both of which it gets since its initial level. While the Bloodlust ability will increase all of this card’s stats by 1 each time it kills down an enemy card, the Opportunity ability on the other hand will target the enemy card with the lowest health.
SILVER
When you upgrade this monster to level 5, then its stats get increased to 4 melee attack power at 4 speed with 3 armour and 5 health along with those abilities that I mentioned above. Though it does not get any new abilities, its increased attack power and health will definitely help you fight bigger enemy cards.
GOLD
As this monster card gets upgraded to level 8, its stats increase even further as it receives 4 melee attack power at 5 speed with 4 armour and 5 health. Not only that, but it also gets a new ability called Piercing from level 6 onwards with which, whenever it attack and breaks the armour of an enemy card, the excess damage now will affect that enemy card’s health.
DIAMOND / CHAMPION
Finally, when you upgrade this monster card to its max level of 10, it possesses a further increased 5 melee attack power at 5 speed with 4 armour and 6 health along with those 3 abilities above. Now, though this monster does not receive any new abilities at this level, its increased stats will help you kill down even the biggest enemy cards faster.
Battle Link
BATTLE STATS
This time I got a medium 34 mana limit match and in this match, every element was allowed to choose from except the Dragon element. There were also 3 rulesets applied in this match as follows - Briar Patch (All units have Thorns ability), Are you not Entertained (you can use one extra gladiator card in this match) and Maneuvers (all monsters have the reach ability). Anyway, after looking at all these rules and limitations, I started thinking about an effective strategy for this battle and after thinking a little, I finally decided to put faith in Water element cards and then started building my lineup accordingly.
For this match, first of all, I chose the Water summoner Kelya Frendul and at the first position of my lineup, I selected the attack-less tank card Baakjira followed by Tide Biter, Isgald Vorst, Kulu Mastermind, Deeplurker and the Halfling Refugee at the end position of my lineup. Anyway, when both the lineups were revealed later in the match, I found out that my opponent had used the legendary Earth summoner Immortalis and at his first defensive place, he selected the Halfling Refugee followed by the Grimbardun Smith, Regal Peryton, Acid Shooter, Quora Towershed and the Doctor Blight at the end position.
When the battle began, my Isgald and Kulu targeted the Acid shooter and killed it in the very first round after attacking it back to back. Then my Tide Biter and Deeplurker attacked the enemy Halfling Refugee back to back and killed it down. Next, in round 2 both my Kulu and Deeplurker missed their target on the enemy Regal Peryton. Then at round 3, my Isgald finally got its first kill by taking down the Regal. In round 4, my front defence Baakjira died due to poison damage from Doctor Blight, followed by my Tide Biter who killed down the wounded Smith but sadly, the Enemy Quora killed down my Tide Biter quickly after and Doctor Blight attacked my Isgald at the end of round 4 and applied poison on it. At the beginning of round 5, my Isgald died due to poison damage but my Kulu then performed a deadly attack and killed the Quora with 1 blow. By now, only Doctor Blight was alive in the opponent’s lineup but I quickly took care of it with my Kulu and thus, I won another amazing match!
I hope you loved watching the Splinterlands battle with ISGALD VORST that I shared above and liked reading my battle post. Let me know your thoughts in the comment section below and I will be seeing you all in my next post.
