My splinterlands sales of fragment legend totem went through thanks to cryptomancer.
I received close to 170k DEC from the sale which brings me close to 200k DEC in liquidity. Now the time to come to decide what to use with this large amount of liquidity?
My initial thought was to buy cards, but the value of DEC is rapidly falling, as indicated by the Splintercards.com stats. With Hive sliding back to its yearly average, it is dragging down both SPS and DEC. While SPS is experiencing a more dramatic decline, DEC, which is supposed to be near or at parity, is not trending in that direction.Purchase Cards?
I also am seeing my preferred cards rising in price making it double whelming to be adding new cards right now.
I need close to 700k DEC to get the remaining Chaos cards to complete the set. My daily yield is 200 DEC which would still take me over a six years to accumulate the rest if I can't sell more assets.
Convert to SPS?
I could potentially swap DEC to SPS and hit a personal milestone of 200k SPS staked.
With all my liquid DEC swapped into SPS I still would need about 3k SPS to hit the 200k milestone. Yet with a yield of 10.65% apr its going to be sufficient for me to hit the milestone before end of 2025.
The thought of earning SPS passively by staking more SPS is enticing. Yet having a full set of Chaos cards have been in my sight for many months if not years. Chaos will be the most affordable set considering it has the most cards in circulation. The decision to spend on either one is my main options.
It is just amazing how the community has been even through all the ups and downs. There is still demand for assets and I have proof as my items are selling. Looking ahead I will likely continue selling more to obtain liquidity to buy cards I prefer.

It's a tough action to decide, but I haven't really done much with my DEC. I did pool whatever I did have into the diesel pool and that generates some SPS for me. I haven't touched it since.
I sold it for Hive in this bear market. No liquid DEC for me now.
