A dedicated reader @jfang003 got me looking at current prices of Chaos cards and how much it would cost to max a set. With all the new updates it would surely change card prices, right? Well lets find out!
Chaos Regular Foil Set
The most accurate way of finding the max cost of a set I personally think is through monstermarket.io since they have active data of the latest cards for sale on the open market.
As on now it will cost slightly over $5,600 for a full max set, regular foil Chaos. For a gold foil set it is over three times!
This would make sense since land expansion game will benefit holders of gold foil cards more than regular foil.
Below are graphical charts for visual look of the rise in prices on Chaos max set.
We are off a bottom for Chaos cards and we can see it even in Chaos rewards.
For a little over $350 one can get a full Chaos rewards regular foil max collection set. Ideal set of cards to get for bang on the buck.
Future Outlook
There remains a few months where we have to wait for the next series of Splinterlands sets to come out. The current and only set of cards available for sale in game is Riftwatchers. Yet people can buy Chaos packs over the open market. Meanwhile also in open markets are individual Chaos cards that appear to be reasonable prices considering where they are from all time highs.
My personal strategy is to remain focus on getting a full Chaos set but also saving up for potential costs in land expansion. I can not anticipate how the future card sets will be so have mainly ignored it. Today I am still strolling around the open market to see if there are deals for Chaos cards. The supply of cards are still reasonable high compare to the other sets, which makes me feel comfortable simply looking around and snatching up cards at my own pace. However I do not think this will last long as mentioned once the new series of cards are introduce the Chaos may likely become more scarce.

I think it's always nice to check up on prices and I definitely think it's time to stock up on some chaos legion cards. I started some idle games recently, and I think I should have some more SWAP.HIVE eventually for me to buy a few cards.

Nice to see someone's got the same priorities as myself now. Working on my max chaos deck, and looking for chances to strengthen my land holdings
As the daily updates are coming from the last few days and the land gameplay is very close, the prices are going up due to this.
