I was hoping to get to this post yesterday but was too tired from posting Splinterlands. So here I am to follow through with my season 70 results today.
Reward Chests
I ended the season at 22 chests, which is Silver II league. I certainly wanted more rewards but the final days of rental market were too tempting to pass up. We will see later if that was worth it?
With 22 chests my total pull in reward cards was a meager $0.58 in value. On the plus side I pulled a Chaos pack.
Still beyond packs I am unable to get anything substantial in value. Meanwhile my guild brawl also ended on that day and with it enough points to get myself a Gladius case. Here are the rewards from that case opening.
Stats For The Season
Another respectable set of stats I would say. I got a higher win to loss ratio and my highest ranking was at Gold III. That is only one level below Diamond.
The total battles played this season nosed dived do to a couple of things. For one I was mostly sick at the back half of the season so did not play much. Even on days I did play I barely did so just to complete the daily quest. Still to earn a total of under 3k DEC in combined daily quest rewards and rank battle DEC earnings its disappointing. This is more than 40% drop in earnings for me relative to my peak.
With the drop in earnings I made up some on the rentals. The last three days I took advantage with rentals and raked in a decent amount of DEC. This is the first season in many to break the downtrend in rental earnings. Now with a slight plus 56k DEC pocketed for the season it is pretty respectable. Unfortunately I can not say the same for DEC prices. DEC price continues to fall and falling rapidly.
DEC is now only 60% above par. I guess sooner or later it was going to get close to par. Thing now is it possible to fall even further to the point below par?
Care Collection
No big or small addition in my overall collection. A couple of unopened Chaos packs added but that is it. This season I mainly was not very active in game or around Hive. Still recovering from some sort of virus.
Conclusions
In the new season I hope to push my rental income higher. Considering DEC price drop it may not matter but I am invested in the game for the long run so expect to hold the DEC long. Last year DEC was below par and then the game ramped up and next thing you know we see DEC 10 times above par. It can happen again.
On the front of playing the game I hope to get in more battles and earning more. That way I take full advantage of active and passive income of the game.

I received 12 rewards for the season chest. I got just potions, some Dec and few cards. It varies monthly, sometimes you can get better depending on the algorithm !

Not bad, real not bad. I hope you have all the cards needed, not only the spellbook cards, as there might be a change in the DEC award, where spellbook cards don't earn any DEC in gameplay.

Yeah I got level 1 Chaos but missing all kinds of untamed cards lol. I guess I will be doing a little shopping if DEC price holds up.
