Heya Splinterlanders :)
We are recently having a real rollercoaster around many aspects of Splinterlands ecosystem. From the economic side, SPS and the rest of the assets' prices are going up and down like crazy :). Sometimes they follow BTC, sometimes they live their own life :)
But let's focus on the gaming side, we have a new ladder system without fixed division into leagues. Let's check the rewards and summarize the changes at the end.

Yep, I did it :) I tried to play Modern in the new system, and it was not a good idea. My silver deck was not enough to compete at Silver III level versus max leveled collection :). I lost a few games and gave up. My wild bot got a much better result and reached Diamond II. More about it later :)

Another big change, which I like a lot, despite my weak performance. I talked about it more in my tournament report post here and for sure I will definitely return to the topic in my next article about it. For now, I have to say, it's not easy :).

Last season was so lucky for us, the current one was rather unlucky. No legendaries, SPS amount is lower than usual, and it's even worse because we had some Diamond-level chests already.

I tried to rent more, because of the new tournament system, but still it was not enough.

Last time we had double the amount of SPS, but as I mentioned I removed LP and this season we had no luck with SPS. Still solid.
It is still too early to fully assess new ladder system. The changes seem not so big on paper, but they drastically change the dynamic of the ladder.
So far it's just crazy, you can fight max-leveled cards in low silver ratings,
