Hiya Splinterlanders :)
Description:
Only units and summoners with a mana cost of 4 or less may be used.
Firstly, the description of the ruleset in the game is not perfect, sometimes you got just general information which not giving you all information you need. Best way to read the full description as above from the game documentation at least once. You can check all here.
I seriously encourage you guys to check this site, here is the precise link, even more advanced players could find something interesting there.
Little League could be treated as another ruleset that just limits your collection for the battle like similar odd ones etc. But because you have to use lower power-level cards I think it changes some dynamics of the battle and opens up for some different strategies which you couldn't use in normal battle. Overall I like it and have fun trying to play lower mana cards. There are many different line-ups, and depending on other rulesets you need to adapt to the situation. Let's go for battle presentation when we see this as perfect example:
Today's battle is quite standard Death Little League team, with some twist for specific rulesets - Earthquake and Return fire. It is just a bronze-level tournament fight, so most monsters don't have additional abilities which could be more important in higher-level leagues. Let's see both line-ups:
Both teams seem solid, after I started the battle I regret that I haven't used any martyr cards, which could be good here. From my side, as I mentioned it is a very solid death team with the significant addition of Ravenhood Warden, which allows that team to survive a first wave of earthquake damage. The opponent has some creature with flying, so he seems more confident when the battle will last longer. Let's see the outcome:
Round 2, we both lost our cannon fodder monsters, and after the earthquake damage additionally opponent lost martyr card and get buff, and from my side, we lost our armor from Protect ability. Unfortunately, our damage wasn't significant enough to eliminate the opponent's tank.
Round 3, this time we were able to kill the tank, opponent firepower is not great, and targets are spread. That gives us some chances vs his flying units, but we need to kill them fast :)
Round 4, so now it's just a race, we still got 2 units, but they cannot survive another round of earthquake, or wait? we got life leecher, it could be interesting.
Round 5, after the earthquake damage that one point of life from life leech ability just save us in this battle.
Final Blow - Round 6 - it was so close, now after the earthquake damage I lost the only damage dealer on the battlefield, but fortunately opponent just lost the last unit and the battle is ours :)
I have to say that the Death team performs excellently in the Little League ruleset. Even with the additional not-favorable ruleset, where the death splinter doesn't have a lot of flying units, some additional armor is enough to survive and kill the opponent team before they kill us. Let's check the cards we used:
Little League is one of my favorite rulesets, on first glance it could be annoying and I know a lot of players don't like this kind of limitation. But this game is not about putting your overpower 20 mana cards on the battlefield in random order and having hope it will be enough to win the battle. That's why rulesets like Little League and similar with more complex collection limitations open up more different strategies, which weren't valid in different scenarios.
I hope you like this kind of battle and strategy presentation. More strategy analysis, discussion, and prediction games you can find on my Wednesday Splinterlands.tv stream. You can check the schedule here

We continue our game from the previous week, today new battle, new card to win :).
I come to some idea, I hope you will like them and participate. Every week I will publish one battle, and your goal is to point out the first victim of the battle and who will be the winner. This game is exactly the same as my prediction game which I run on my Wednesday Splinterlands.tv stream. I know that not everyone can attend the stream, so I hope you will still have fun in that way. More about the rules can be read here.
Among all participants who get the correct answer, I will randomly (probably on my Wednesday stream) choose one winner.
The prize of the blog prediction game for the lucky winner will be the epic card:
Here we got the battle with Little League ruleset:
Game instruction:
Try to point out which monster will die first on the battlefield and who wins the battle
- t - top player
- b - bottom player
- number - order counting from the first position
Examples:
t2b = monster on the second position of top player die first, the bottom player wins
b6t = monster on the sixth position of bottom player die first, the top player wins
t3t = monster on the third position of top player die first, the top player wins
