Hello fellows, how are you. A few weeks ago splinterlands game added new cards and some new abilities. this caused some meta decks to change. One of the new abilities is conscript, namely the ability to summon Gladius monsters outside of Brawl. one of the metas that I use is Helios Matriarch and Larissa Kerato. in this post I share my match when in one of the tournaments held by WOO at the novice level.
BATTLE PREPARATION
Based on the rules, In briar patch all monsters have thorn ability dont used malee monsters because will become a weapon against the lord and will be ineffective. The second rule is aim true, means all malee and range never missed when they attacked to other monster. we have 32 mana cap and we can used life and dragon unit. So lets check my line up now.
LINEUP
Summoner
Helios Matriatrch is a rare summoner from reward edition belongs to dragon unit and will be soulbone, it mean this card cannot be sell, transfered, or burn. As a new reward, this summoner can give +1 speed and have conscript ability to summon a monster from gladius edition. The reason why i used this summoner to used new summoner at basic level and combine with gladius. I need 6 mana cost to used in the battlefield and the cost like a legendary summoner from chaos legion edition.
1st position
Coused the rules all monsters have thorn ability, in first position i used Pelacor Conjuer as a tanker. At basic level, this monster have flying ability and just have 4 health point, i think enough to be a tanker in early round.
2nd position
In the second position, i put Consair Bosun because he has huge health point and have shield reflection ability. It mean when i put this monster in second position he can give huge damage without get thorn effect. Consair Bosun very usefull as a tanker and so strong to beat enemy monster. I hope i can max on this monster.
3rd position
Moving on the next position, i put Void Dragon who has Void ability with 7 health point. Void Dragon have 1 magic damage and can reduce magic damage and also have flying ability. I used this monster to reduce magic damage and can give Larissa Kerato to maximaze bloodust ability.
4th position
Next position, i put a monster from reward edition belongs to dragon unit called Kra'ar Xoc and i just need 1 mana cost to used in battlefield. At basic level this monster have ability to increased the health point when any monster dies. At max level this card have redemtion ability and can give -1 health when he died.
5th position
Next on 5th position, we have the main monster in this topic. Larissa Kerato is a legendary monster from gladius edition. At basic level she have 2 magic damage with double strike ability. Larissa Kerato can activate bloodust when he defeats an enemy on each attack.
6th position
In the last position, i put Gargoya Scrapper and i just need 1 mana cost to put in battlefield. I put this monster to watch out for monsters with sneak abilities. I used this monster at basic level and he just have 2 health point.
THE BATTLE
Lets move to the battle, if you want to see full battle you can click this link or you can see the gif bellow.
Round 1
In novice league, we only can used all monsters and summoner in level 1. I put dragon summoner because i can combine with other element monster and in this battle i used with life unit. In this round, my summoner give +1 speed. Do you know? speed is the most important think in the battle, you can attack first when you put monster with hight speed. In the end of this round, my Pelacor Conjuer has defeated after recieving attack Venari Cristalsmith.
Round 2
In round 2, i have Consair Bosun in first position. He has reflection shield so Thorns have no effect on monsters with that ability. My enemy uses a monster with a taunt ability and has high health points so it's hard to defeat him. especially behind there is Venari Crystalsmith who can recover the monster's health points in the first position. In the end of this round, i have 5 more monsters and my opponent still have 6 more monsters.
Round 3
Moving on round 3, finally in this round Shieldbearer has defeated after recieving magic attack from Larissa Kerato. But in this round my Consair Bosun defeated after recieving attack from Time Meddler.
Round 4
My Void Dragon have void ability so magic attack can reduce magic damage. Void Dragon can withstand several attacks so larissa takes down some of the remaining monsters. in this round, Larissa Kerato defeated Time Meddler so that her bloodust ability was active. Larissa Kerato when her Bloodust ability is active will be hard to stop. At the end of this round, Larissa Kerato has 4 magic damage with double trike ability.
Round 5
Round 5 started with my opponent having 4 monsters left with little health points, so looks very easy to beat by Larissa Kerato with 4 magic damage and double strike ability. Larissa's first attack defeats Venari Cristalsmith and adds bloodust ability so that Larissa has 5 magic damage. In the end of this round, i have 4 more monsters and my opponent still have 2 more monsters.
Round 6
In the final round, Larissa Kerato had the highest speed. The first attack with the power of 6 magic damage can beat Scavo Hireling easily. When bloodust is active the magic damage increases to 7 with double damage ability.
CONCLUTION
Here is my post about Helios Matriarch with Larissa Kerato in my turkey at novice league. I think reward summoner will change this main meta because we can used gladiator monster in any turnament or rangked battle. I wish i can get all reward cards at max level as soon as possible.
