INTRO

This week brings another exciting and challenging edition of Battle Mage Secrets, as we delve into the battle rule "FIRE and REGRET". This rule acts as a countermeasure against range attack monsters, inflicting a return damage effect. The amount of return damage is calculated by dividing the base damage of the range attacker by 2 and rounding up the result. It's important to note that the Amplify ability will also influence this rule. Please refer to the image below for a visual representation of the Fire and Regret rule.

The battle I want to share features three rules: Fire and Regret, Equal Opportunity, and Cripple. In addition to these rules, the maximum required mana is 36, and the allowed elements are fire, life, water, and dragon. With Fire and Regret, it's disadvantageous to use ranged attackers, so it should not be included in the lineup. Magic-type monsters would have been a good choice, but due to the Equal Opportunity rule, melee monsters were made possible to use. However, the Cripple ability is included as it reduces the health of the opponent's monsters when hit, making melee monsters a suitable choice as they typically have higher health.

LINE UP

For my battle, I chose to use water elements and selected Kelya Fendul as my summoner. On the other hand, my opponent chose Tarsa as their summoner in the fire element. Here is our lineup:

First Position

I chose level 3 Baakjira as my frontline. This monster doesn't have attack damage, but it possesses powerful abilities such as void, slow, strengthen, and heal. Baakjira has a speed of 2 and a health stat of 13.

Second Position

I placed level 2 Coeurl Lurker as my second-position monster. I chose this monster because we have the Equal Opportunity rule in our battle. Coeurl Lurker's role in this battle is to taunt my opponent's monsters. The stats of Coeurl Lurker are 4 melee attack, 4 speed, and 11 health. In addition to taunt, it also has the abilities of dodge and phase. These abilities make it a perfect counter for melee, range, and magic attacks.

Third Position

Level 10 Pelacor Bandit for my 3rd position. This monster possess abilities of sneak and fly and has a stat of 4 melee attack, 6 speed and 5 health.

Fourth Position

In my fourth position, I made a choice that goes against the Fire and Regrets rule, but I selected this monster to provide support through its triage ability and to reduce the magic attack of enemy monsters. I placed level 8 Angelic Mandarin in this position, which has 2 ranged attack, 4 speed, and 7 health.

Fifth Position

A legendary support monster is positioned in my fifth lineup, providing valuable abilities such as triage, dispel, and blind. The ability to heal your other monsters, remove buffs from opponents, and increase the chance of enemy attacks missing is crucial on the battlefield. Spirit Hoarder, with 2 magic attack, 1 speed, and 3 health, is my fifth monster in the lineup.

Six Position

For my last position, I have chosen Level 5 Deeplurker. It has 5 melee attack, 4 speed, and 7 health. The abilities it possesses are also very useful, as it can poison enemies once hitting them and reduce their melee attack.

BATTLE ANALYSIS

The lineup worked well as we predicted that my enemy would focus on melee attack monsters. Utilizing Kelya, who adds armor and speed, along with the monsters in my lineup that reduce speed and melee attack, proved to be effective. Most of my enemy's attacks were dodged, and my healer provided support to Coeurl Lurker, allowing him to remain in battle for longer. Pelacur and Deeplurker had the role of dealing damage, prioritizing those with low health due to the equal opportunity ruleset.
