INTRO

As we delve into the world of Splinterlands, the inclusion of support heroes or monsters in our lineup becomes essential. These support units can come in the form of damage and speed modifiers, defensive entities, or healing entities. This week, we will be delving into the concept of "healed out," a ruleset in Splinterlands that nullifies the abilities of heal, tank heal, and triage for both monsters and summoners.

MY BATTLE WITH HEALED OUT RULESET

To illustrate the mechanics of the "healed out" ruleset, I have a battle to share that incorporates three rules: "heavy hitters," "healed out," and "Briar Patch." This particular battle is classified as a low mana battle, with a maximum of 16 mana required. The permitted elements for this battle include water, earth, dragon, and neutral.

Understanding the 3 battle rules:

  1. Heavy hitter ruleset - All units will gain knock out ability. Knock out ability does double damaged to stun opponent. The strategy here is to include monsters that has stun ability to trigger knock out ability.
  2. Healed out ruleset - All healing abilities are remove from monsters and summoner.
  3. Briar Patch ruleset - This ability is gained by all monsters and a return damage will be received back by a melee attacker when hit an opponent.

Battle Line up:
In this battle, I used water element and picked Kelya Fendul as my summoner. Below are the monsters in my line up.

Chaos Agent - First Position
I always prefer placing Chaos Agent in the first position due to its dodge, phase, and backfire abilities. Despite not having any attack power, these abilities prove to be highly useful as they can inflict damage on the opponent when activated.

Tide Biter - Second Position
This is one of my favorite monsters specially for low mana battle. I has a decent melee attack of 3, good speed and health. The abilities are very useful as it can position perfectly on the second position, it has reflection shield for countering blast and thorns and it cannot miss attack.

Torrent Fiend - Third position
This legendary monsters has zero mana so it will be perfect for low mana battle. Torrent Fiend ability will be useful in this battle since it has a high chance that my opponent will be using range attack type due to briar patch ruleset which is a disadvantage to melee attacker.

Xenith Archer - Fourth Position
This has 2 mana and at least 2 range damage, good speed and it has 4 health.

River Nymph - Fifth Position
River has the ability of amplify, swiftness and cleanse. She can add up speed, increase damage inflected by magic reflect, thorns and return fire by 1, and the most important is it can remove negative buff inflicted by opponents.

Igor Darkspear - Sixth Position
For this battle that all monsters were given the knock out ability. The use of monsters with stun is very important. I put Igor at the rear position anticipating that my opponent will not use melee that has sneak ability.

Below is the complete line up for the battle. My opponent uses Lux Vega a neutral element summoner and chooses earth element.

CONCLUSION

In Splinterlands, it is crucial to build our lineup based on the given ruleset. We must utilize it to our advantage and anticipate our opponent's lineup as well. In my recent battle, both my opponent and I avoided using melee monsters due to the presence of the briar patch rule. To counter this, I strategically deployed Tide Biter, who has the ability to counter return damage. Additionally, my opponent relied on monsters with traige, but their ability was rendered ineffective by the healed out ruleset. Lastly, my lineup had the advantage of including monsters with stun abilities. This not only caused my opponent to lose a round of attacks but also resulted in double damage due to the knock out ability against stunned opponents.
