The first time I saw Splinterlands was on youtube. It was on every top NFT games to play. So it sparked an interest. I researched more about it. I watched videos on its gameplay and its P2E aspect until I created an account.

After I created an account and bought a spellbook, it was a challenge. I didn't know the skills and the monsters. It was so new. Not just the game but the crypto environment as well. But as I continued to play and learn about the crypto world and NFT games, I was hooked. Earning was becoming a bonus for me, the game was addicting. If ECR doesn't go down, I could play 16 hours per day or even more. That just tells you how good the game is.

Fast forward a week later, I'm now in Silver 2. And yes I didn't get my money back yet since I invested it in renting cards and buying quest potions (recommended for newbies) and luck isn't in my side now but it's okay (hope it will change). I'm having fun. All I can think about are strategies. I even dream about it sometimes (no joke). And when I wake up, I can't wait to start playing. Earning in game has become a bonus for me.

But am I worried about my investment? The answer is no. I'm very optimistic of Splinterlands. I'm a big fan of the developers' direction of the game and how they designed the earning mechanisms. I also think NFT games are the future. I'm here for the long run.
