Últimamente he visto un aumento significativo de jugadores en Splinterlands, al menos en la comunidad hispana. Y eso es algo buenísimo, tanto por el crecimiento del juego como por la posible interacción entre jugadores. Ante esa situación creo que seria de mucha ayuda que ayude a esos nuevos jugadores a entender ciertas mecánicas del juego y la verdad es algo que llevo ya tiempo haciendo en mi clan y con todo aquel que encuentro que necesita ayuda, pero para aquellos que todavía no he encontrado les traigo este post con algunos tipos para nuevos jugadores.
Lately I have seen a significant increase of players in Splinterlands, at least in the Hispanic community on Twitter. And I think that's a great thing to the game ecosystem, both for the growth of the economy of the game and for the whole possible interaction between new and old players. In this situation I think it would be very helpful to help these new players to understand certain game mechanics and the truth is something I've been doing in my clan and with everyone I find who needs help, but for those who I have not yet found I bring you this post with some types for new players.
Aprende las habilidades.
Esta debe ser la parte mas importante de todo el juego. Planear una estrategia depende únicamente de lo que tus cartas puedan hacer, como debes saber cada batalla tiene una situación especifica y eso hace que el juego sea muy variado, muchas batallas podrán ser similares pero ninguna será igual, así que usar las mismas cartas siempre es simplemente un suicidio.
Las cartas son muy diferentes entre ellas, buenisimas si las usas en el momento correcto y ambas muy malas si las utilizas cuando no debes. Esto ocurre con practicamente todas las cartas del juego y es por eso que debes conocer las habilidades, mientras mas informado estes de las habilidades de las cartas mas rapido podras planear tus partidas.
Learn the skills.
This must be the most important part of the whole meta game. Planning a good strategy for your battle depends only on what your cards can do on that battle, as you should know each battle has a specific situation (ruleset) and that makes the game very varied, many battles may be similar among them but none will be the same, so using the same cards always is simply suicide.
The cards are very different from each other, both very good if you use them at the right time and very bad if you use them when you should not. This happens with almost every card in the game and that's why you should know the abilities, the more informed you are about the abilities of the cards the faster you can plan your games.
Baakjira es un tanque excelente pero en un ruleset de velocidad inversa o donde no se puedan usar cartas magicas no sirve mucho, de hecho le darías ventaja a tu rival. Eso se debe a sus habilidades, al mismo tiempo con un ruleset Equalizer puedes usar esta carta acompañada con muchas cartas de poco mana que van a tener unos puntos de vida altisimos, y eso te permite planear otras estrategias mas.
Este es solo uno de cientos de ejemplos que hay por todo el juego, asi que tenlo muy en cuenta:
- Conocer las habilidades es la base primaria de un jugador que se destaca del resto.
Baakjira is an excellent tank but in a reverse speed ruleset or where you can't use magic cards it's not very useful, in fact you will give your opponent an advantage. That's because of its abilities, at the same time with an Equalizer ruleset you can use this card together with many low mana cards that will have very high life points, and that allows you to plan other strategies.
This is just one of hundreds of examples throughout the game, so keep it in mind:
- Knowing the skills is the primary basis of a player standing out from the rest.
Es obvio pero... ¡Practica!
Si quieres mejorar, debes practicar. Mañana puedes gastar cientos de dólares en las mejores cartas a los niveles mas altos y te aseguro que eso por si solo no te hará moverte ni siquiera un centímetro hacia adelante respecto a tu nivel como jugador. De nada te sirve tener un Valnamor dorado a nivel 4 si no sabes como y cuando utilizarlo asi que lo principal es practicar. Juega muchas partidas, en ranked o con amigos (amistosos). El juego está en constante evolución así que jugar periódicamente es lo que te hará mejorar como jugador, eso nos lleva al siguiente tip:
Planea estrategias.
Una vez que sabes lo que hacen las habilidades puedes empezar a pensar como combinarlas para potenciarlas y sacarle mas provecho. Aqui tienes un pequeño ejemplo:

If you want to improve your game, you must practice your battles. Tomorrow you can spend hundreds of dollars on the best cards at the highest levels and I assure you that this alone will not make you move even one centimeter forward in your level as a player. There is no point in having a golden Valnamor at level 4 if you don't know how and when to use it, so the main thing is to practice. Play a lot of games, in ranked or with friends (friendly). The game is constantly evolving so playing regularly is what will make you improve as a player, that brings us to the next tip:
Plan strategies.
Once you know what the skills do you can start thinking about how to combine them to leverage them and get more out of them. Here is a small example:
Esta es una combinacion basica pero efectiva. Kelya potencia la velocidad y la armadura, agregar a Supply Runner al final le da mas daño a tu alineacion y tambien mas velocidad, y eso combinado con la habilidad de mi tanque (Enrage) deja a mi Diemonshark con:
70% de chance de esquivar los ataques del Wave Brood enemigo en cada turno.
40% al Diemonshark.
50% al Deeplurker.
50% al Demented Shark.
40% al supply Runner.
Las estrategias se van haciendo cada vez mas complejas conforme subes de nivel pero no haras nada aprendiendo esttrategias de rango Diamante cuando no puedes subir a Plata. Todo a su tiempo.
This is a basic but effective combination. Kelya boosts speed and armor, adding Supply Runner at the end gives more damage to your lineup and also more speed, and that combined with my tank's ability (Enrage) leaves my Diemonshark with:
70% chance to dodge enemy Wave Brood attacks each turn.
40% to the Diemonshark.
50% to the Deeplurker.
50% to the Demented Shark.
40% to the Supply Runner.
The set of possible strategies and combinations become more and more complex as you level up but you won't do anything by learning Diamond strategies when you can't level up to Silver. All in good time.

Informacion a fondo sobre todo respecto a las cartas, habilidades, estadísticas y otros datos del juego, como los rulesets y herramientas que te serviran muchisimo tanto si eres jugador como si eres inversor.
Hay muchos otros que te servirán para muchas cosas pero estos dos para mi son 100% necesarios, si eres un jugador que alquila todas o la mayoría de las cartas de su mazo, vas a enamorarte de Peakmonsters, y si estas aprendiendo sobre el juego Splintercards te va a ayudar muchisimo con toda su informacion, ademas ambas son joyas ocultas para jugadores experimentados.

There are many others sites and third partys that will serve you for many things like review your winrate but these two for me are 100% necessary, if you are a player who rents all or most of the cards in your deck, you will fall in love with Peakmonsters, and if you are learning about the game Splintercards will help you a lot with all its information, plus both are hidden gems for experienced players.

Cuando el Bull Market estaba activo y el #BTC rozaba los 70k habían cartas en Splinterlands que valian muchísimo dinero y que hoy valen 1$ y hasta menos. Siempre en todo mercado hay personas que se lanzan sin estudiar nada solo siguiendo un trend, no seas de esos. Investiga la economía, no necesitas ser un experto, si no tienes conocimientos en economía cripto entonces haz uno de la regla mas simple pero también la mas sabia: compra barato, vende caro.

When the Bull Market was active and #BTC was around 70k there were cards in Splinterlands that were worth a lot of money and today they are worth 1$ and even less. Always in every market there are people who jump in without studying anything just following a trend, don't be one of those. Research the economy, you don't need to be an expert, if you don't have knowledge in crypto economics then make one of the simplest but also the wisest rule: buy low, sell high.
