Hi friends, it's finally the long-awaited day off and since it's very cloudy and rainy outside today, I decided to spend a few hours playing and trying some strategies for the BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge with the Fire & Regret rule.
The rule is a lot of fun and puts a lot of restrictions on the use of archers (and so I quite often play as a Life elemental and Ilthain summoner, which yulashould easily put the opponent in a very uncomfortable position), so it was quite curious to try something really original and effective.
I lost a couple of times very badly when facing outnumbered opponents, but one of the fights for the element of Fire was quite good!
My Lineup:
- TARSA. A great summoner that can boost allies' speed and melee attacks. Given that the Equal Opportunity rule applied in addition to Fire & Regret, I thought it would be a good idea to take advantage of her talents.
- GOBLIN MECH. I wanted to put something powerful in the tank position, so I decided to use this card from the classic set. High health, strong shield, good attack. A very good option for holding off enemy attacks.
- ARKEMIS THE BEAR. You can never have too much defense, so on the second line was this neutral monster with great ability to boost allies' shields. On top of that, he has great health, so he can be a tough nut to crack against the enemy's melee attacks.
-TECHNOWIZOLOGIST.Because of the Fire & Regret rule, I didn't want to use archers and decided that this weird mage would be in charge of long range attacks. Sometimes his Stun ability works great against strong opponents, so I was counting on him to help.
-FORGOTTEN ONE.Another powerful melee monster completes the combo. Thanks to the boost from the summoner and the extra shield protection from Arkemis the Bear, he turns into a real death machine. An ultimatum card to finish off your opponent.
Battle
My opponent also chose Tarsa, with its emphasis on melee attacks, and included Disintegrator in its combo, which lowers my melee attacks, and Antoid Platoon, which with its Shield ability can be a big problem, diverting my attacks.
Thanks to TECHNOWIZOLOGIST and his Stun ability by the end of the first round I managed to get rid of the enemy ANTOID PLATOON, and unfortunately lost my mage, but the main thing is that now my fighters had nothing to distract and the opponent was waiting for a methodical extermination.
In the second round, despite the numerical advantage, I managed to save my strength and get rid of LIVING LAVA. In the third - TENYII STRIKER came out, and then my GOBLIN MECH, but even at the beginning of the 4th round it was clear that the quality advantage was on my side, and the main task was to destroy DISINTEGRATOR, who was lowering the quality of my attacks.
I actually knocked him out at the beginning of round 5, and ended the fight with a spectacular double strike from my remaining monsters.
Watch
So that was the battle, and I hope you had fun watching the two fiery girls fight.

Interesting combination! Tarsa + Arkemis I still don't have a proper fire deck. I bought a Jacek a few months ago but the reason is simple any summoner that boosts speed is a summoner that you should take seriously, I will take advantage of these low prices to finally buy a tarsa.
