The SPS Delegation Grind
SPS delegations have grown into a daily frustration for me. Between tracking which delegations have ended, recovering unclaimed assets, and identifying new bids to fill, I’ve found myself tied to my devices far more than I’d like. The constant need to monitor the market and act quickly has made what should be a simple process feel like a second job.
Adding to the frustration is the state of the market. With prices at historic lows, scraping the bottom of the delegation market to earn fractions of a penny on my hard-earned SPS stake doesn’t feel worth the effort. The grind has become mentally taxing, and the returns often don’t justify the time spent.
Enter 3rd Party Automation
After much deliberation, I decided to explore automation tools created by 3rd party developers in the Splinterlands ecosystem. These tools offer solutions to streamline the delegation process, from automatically recovering expired delegations to filling new ones based on predefined parameters.
While I’ll need to part with a small portion of my earnings to use these tools, the trade-off is worth it for the time I’ll get back. The ability to let a system handle the grind frees me up to focus on higher-value activities within the game—or simply to enjoy life outside of Splinterlands.
A Testament to the Community
One of the things that stood out to me during this process is the resilience of the Splinterlands 3rd party developer community. Despite the challenges of the past two years, including market downturns and shifting priorities among players, these developers have continued to innovate and create tools that enhance the player experience.
Their dedication is a testament to the strength of the Splinterlands ecosystem. It’s encouraging to see that, even in tough times, there’s a group of creators finding ways to add value and solve problems for players like me.
Automating my SPS delegations is just the beginning. As I continue to assess my approach to Splinterlands, I’m eager to see what other tools and systems can help streamline my experience. Whether it’s optimizing land production, managing card rentals, or navigating new updates like Land 1.75, automation will undoubtedly play a key role in my journey.
For now, I’m relieved to have found a way to take the burden of delegations off my plate. It’s a small but meaningful step toward regaining balance and enjoying the game without feeling bogged down by administrative tasks.
If you’re facing similar frustrations in Splinterlands, I highly recommend exploring the 3rd party tools available. They’re a reminder that even in a bear market, there’s opportunity to innovate and improve—and that’s a hopeful sign for the future of this incredible ecosystem.
