Splinterlands Tutorial Advanced

in Splinterlands3 years ago (edited)

My name is Nicola and I am 28 years old, I define myself as a curious person by nature. I like to learn and discover new places and things, in fact through my passion such as computer science I manage to earn the right, a rather quiet life each month; despite having to incur various sacrifices and a lot of willpower in studying and keeping myself updated.

Let's go!

For new players, playing Splinterlands can be really tiring at first, because there are a thousand combinations that your opponent surely already knows and knows how to use them. In this advanced tutorial I put into practice some arguments that in many cases lead to winning a match, the experience pays and by now I have been playing this game for some time and I know cards, bonuses and malus by heart, consequently I can exploit them at my own advantage.

If you still don't know Splinterlands I recommend that you first read my tutorial to start playing that you find here!

Splinterlands only melee monster

Only melee monsters can be used in this match with max 99 mana. Most of the time I lost in this type of match because I was also aiming to do more damage with the fire summoner but it is not enough. In these cases it is better to defend yourself with the +1 armor dragon summoner and play monsters with the perfect spine ability against melee, but not only did I also put them in the last positions, why? Because surely the opponent puts monsters with snake and opportunity and in this way I start to take out the monsters in last position. Although I can only attack once per turn, but the cunning pays off. Watch the match here!

Splinterlands no armor

In this match the mana is very high but only the earth or dragon summoner was available.
The malus no armor gives me the chance to field that nice double damage crocodile in first position sure that he won't die thanks to the healer and that beautiful monster in last position that draws all the damage. My opponent has deployed the horse in second position, a serious mistake because practically in the first round he will stay still and the two healers as they only have 1 speed will not be able to heal his tank, which is why he will die immediately. The rest comes easy the match you can see it here!

Splinterlands noo melee monster and sniper ability

In this match the mana is very low and given the presence of the malus no monsters melee, the choice falls mainly on the magic. I'll be honest here too I had thought of playing the aquatic beast with a nice monster behind to cure. But then I saw that there was also sniper as a bonus match and then I revised my strategy and as you can see I played the monster in last position followed by a low mana tank in first position, just to take advantage of the sniper ability. my favor. You can see how the match went here!

Splinterlands sniper ability

In this match the mana is very high 44 plus the sniper ability. Since there weren't any summoners who could boost the magic, obviously the ranged is the focus. My opponent has staked everything on +1 armor and monsters with fairly high speed 3/4 speed. But I was smarter because not only with my summoner did I decrease both ranged damage and speed but I played a monster that further reduces speed. So with a tank in first position and thanks to sniper for not hitting his tank it was an easy win! Battle video here!

Splinterlands explosions and earthquake

In this match with very low mana only the earth summoner was available and seeing the penalty of the match there is an earthquake, which makes you think ok I'll play the winged horse. But it is very likely that the opponent also makes the same reasoning and then you ask yourself which card can overturn the game? The answer is the monster that reflects the magic damage but is not enough, it must be played in the first position. In fact my opponent was not smart, he played full magic thinking he would do one-shot on the first lap, and his tactic would have worked if I played the poor winged horse in first position, but alas it didn't happen! Do not you believe it? So watch the match here!

Splinterlands tutorial advanced conclusions

So making a recap, in this advanced tutorial over time you have to choose which cards to play a fundamental role is the malus or the bonus of each match. There is no need to have strong legendary cards, to win games often a bit of cunning and a lot of experience that is accumulated only by playing, but above all by playing certain cards in specific positions.
Unfortunately I have not had games with Veleno or Reverse Speed and other malus, see them next time!
